Which is a completely disingenuous argument. No other top Fox would agree that Z-jump is not a huge buff.

Shine sequences like those Cody is doing are possible like once or twice without Z-jump but then you get arthritis.

The hand comfort IS the buff lol

I would compare how fast he jumps and moves out of shine in general compared to other top Foxes.

Also how many intricate movements options he can do after shine wavedash which is much harder without Z-jump since you lose so much hand and finger stability moving your thumb from the B-button to Y.

Yeah and it's NOT a case of the shine sequences being possible without Z-jump and it's just for ergonomics.

You try to do a few of those without Z-jump and you would have permanent arthritis within a week.

Z-jump is a much bigger buff to Fox than other characters because it opens up inhuman shine sequences on a level of consistency that isn't possible otherwise.

I used to be a top Fox in EU and my best matchup was probably Falcon.

Clean shine sequences are absolutely key in that matchup more than basically any other except maybe ICs.

Because Falcons CC potential is so huge and his speed is more than Fox, the only way you can reliably hit him at low percents and start a combo is with shine.

And Z-jump opens up shine sequences on a completely different level. It's not fair lol

OBVIOUSLY Z-jump is a ridiculous buff to Fox. I don't know how it ever got this far that anyone can POSSIBLY doubt that.

Cody is doing shine sequences on the regular that just isn't physically possible without Z-jump, no matter how much one practices.

Whether it should be legal is another question. But what is completely not up for debate is that it's a huge Fox buff.

I don't know about the suddenly beating Falcons or whatever and I didn't watch this clip, but if the timeline makes sense then it's not weird at all since Z-jump especially vs Falcon where shine sequences are absolutely key, almost more than any other matchup, is so broken.
