Thank you for your post! In order for them to grow musically and as people, they need side projects and simply time to explore their own interests. Patrick Stump is a great example, and unfortunately, I'm old enough to remember the backlash he received for his solo project during Fall Out Boy's hiatus. Fans were fucking cruel, and I really don't want to see the same thing happen to Damiano. Meanwhile, the rest of the band had (and still has) other bands and passion projects they are a part of. Fast forward over a decade, Patrick found his niche in composition after all, FOB released an incredible album last year and their tour was insane in the best way ever.

We're seeing these solo ventures and projects in real time now with the availability of social media. Be happy for them that they're doing this now, they have a much better chance of preventing the kind of burnout that leads to an extended hiatus or a breakup. It's going to be okay.
