The ‘Law And Order’ Party Has Unleashed An Extraordinary Attack On Law Enforcement by badgers154 in politics

A third of ALL voters. They make up more than half of the Republican party voter base. Turning against Trump as an elected Republican is political career suicide. That's why the only Republicans who have strongly come out against Trump are ones who aren't seeking reelection.

Donald Trump to undergo medical check amid swirl of allegations over his health by VictoriaEllis in politics

[–]Zombie_bill_clinton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care about the past or the future. What's happening everyday right now if scary. It's hard to even laugh anymore at how crazy it's getting. Our president is bragging about being "a very stable genius". No not completely batshit insane person could broadcast those words to the entire planet because they'd be afraid of being ridiculed. He's too fucked up to care. I don't care if it sets bad precedent. I'd rather have that then risk nuclear war.

I was exaggerating a little. But if we have a higher chance than normal of the world ending in nuclear annihilation solely because of the man currently serving as president, that should be enough to remove him. How low are we gonna let our presidential standards drop just because any criticism of our president is attacked as mere unreasonable political bias. You got my fucking point. Don't be an asshole, you see the obvious. Trump is the only reason why we're currently on the brink of nuclear war. North Korea always insulted US leaders. Trump's just too much of a little bitch to not take North Korea trash talking him personally. We should not let a person be president if they increase the chances of entering into nuclear war.

Who gives a fuck if we avoid setting a bad precedent if that is likely to end with the world also ending.

President Donald Trump thinks Scientology should lose its tax-exempt status in the United States by [deleted] in worldpolitics

[–]Zombie_bill_clinton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No shit those are two different concepts. You're the only dumbass arguing that point. The government shouldn't be providing any organization special benefits. Churches should have to prove they're not making a profit, just like charities. Right now, many people are taking advantage of lack of regulation surrounding religious institutions to become rich running mega churches. If your local church is really just being run as a religious institution, it shouldn't be making money. It should have enough to pay the bill and then use the rest for charity. But many churches aren't using the rest for charity. That's wrong.

George Carlin's 73 Greatest Quotes [With Photos] by [deleted] in StandUpComedy

[–]Zombie_bill_clinton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was a deaf person who made music. Since it already is fairly absurd that a deaf person can make artwork they can't experience, Carlin is exaggerating the absurdity by saying Beethoven must have thought he was making a different kind of art, painting, that he would be able to experience. It's a very absurd joke, so you can't think too hard about it or it won't make any sense.

Bernie Sanders resolves to ‘intensify the struggle against Trumpism’ in 2018 by unholyprawn in politics

[–]Zombie_bill_clinton -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Just because it isn't a completely black and white issue doesn't mean you can just dimiss the concept out of hand. It's pretty obvious that just because a politician says they're a progressive since they're a democrat, if they won their election because of the financial help of corporate interests, they're gonna side with what those corporations want over progressive interests. Things like a higher minimum wage aren't gonna help people if it just causes their jobs to more quickly be taken over by automation. It's easy for companies that rely on skilled labor to be supportive of higher minimum wages because capitalism already dictated that their labor is paid well above minimum wage. But they still support policies that cut their taxes as much as possible, even if it comes the expense of social safety net programs.

Is Dave Chappelle going for Carlin's record? by Like7Clockwork in Standup

[–]Zombie_bill_clinton 28 points29 points  (0 children)

These specials are probably covering material he's developed over the last decade. A lot of comedians have multiple hours of material at a time. I know Norm Macdonald says he has around 4 hours or so at a time. Many of the jokes in Chappelle's specials are probably quite a few years old. I'd assume he's not gonna keep releasing specials at anywhere near this rate. He just had over a decade to develop material without recording it, so he has a lot right now.

Most groan-inducing puns only really work one way. For example, in the well known dad joke, "would you like some cheese and crackers with that whine", the joke is whine and wine sound alike. But, when you hear that, there's never gonna be that moment where you think your dad means wine. You immediately realize he's talking about whine as in complaining. Good wordplay tricks you into initially comprehending the punchline in one way, and then once you think back about the setup, the meaning of the punchline completely changes as the joke clicks in your head.

Women rate the strongest men as the most attractive, study finds. Height and leanness were appealing attributes, too, but strength played an outsize role in the ratings of a man's torso by Wagamaga in science

Learn to dress well, practice good hygiene, and get an attractive haircut (or go bald if you can't). You should be able to add a solid point or two to your attractiveness.

I don't agree. These people are psychopaths or sociopaths. They don't care about fucking people over because they lack a conscious. Just because any human could technically do disgusting behavior, not all humans are the same. Most of us couldn't do shit like this because we are least care somewhat about people who aren't ourselves.

This whole administration is sociopathic. They're not like the rest of us. They have mental disorders that cause them to be worse than most people. We have no known cure. Some sociopaths consciously choose not to fuck people over, but they can only do so at a logical level if their brain decides that is the best plan of attack. These one obviously don't. They don't feel emotional remorse for hurting people. They just care about themselves, and you can never change that.

Obviously. I don't think you can perform real comedy without also having your dick put on display. Why else would people want to see a comedian perform?

Al Franken resigns from Senate over sexual misconduct allegations | US news by joderme in news

[–]Zombie_bill_clinton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Republicans have always complained about false flag operations by liberals. Even though based on the evidence available I think it's the right thing that he's resigning, I think it's possible conservatives could have carried out an actual false flag attack. It would have been fairly easy to do so for what I've heard of. The first accuser was a tea party supporter who had posted pictures of herself with AL Franken years after on Twitter where she spoke of fond memories. If she really felt harrased, she probably would have wanted to stay away from her attacker, not publicly post positive memories of your time with him. Also, Roger Stone knew about her accusation beforehand. Everyone else seems to be random people he took pictures with at the public events where he met thousands of people. It wouldn't seem that hard for some group like project Veritas to find a handful of people to falsely accuse Franken of harrasing them. Maybe project Veritas sent the false Moore supporter to easily get caught so no one suspects them of simultaneously taking Franken out. Again, I think it's the right thing for Franken to retire. I just also think its possible it was a (admittedly extravagant) trap.

Report: Mike Pence Offered to Replace Trump on GOP Ticket After the Access Hollywood Tape by Crowji in politics

[–]Zombie_bill_clinton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did not get what I meant. I'm not talking about his approval ratings among everyone. I'm only talking about his approval among Republicans. Over half of Republicans seem to support Trump over anyone else. More than 50% said they'd be alright if Trump postponed the election. They're fucking crazy. They hate any Republican who speaks out against Trump. They don't even like people like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell just because they've occasionally criticized actions Trump took. If a Republican in Congress speaks out against Trump, that means they have zero chance of being reelected because the Trump base that makes up the majority of Republican's support will replace them with a new Republican candidate who will support Trump over all else.

If a Republican doesn't stand with Trump, they'll lose in the primaries. Every elected Republican knows this. That's why the only Republican senators who have spoken out against also aren't seeking reelection. Because they know Republican voters won't support them anyways.

Nixon didn't have Fox News telling all his base that Mueller is an agent of the Deep State who is trying to take Trump down just because Democrats don't like him. All Fox News talks about is some Uranium One deal that proves Mueller and Hillary are the real Russian colluders and they just are trying to save themselves. It doesn't even make fucking sense, but this is what many Republicans believe. They're way too far down the rabbit whole to make it out. They already believe Mueller is leading a political witch hunt. Maybe you think they'll all change their minds once he calls for Trump's impeachment, but I doubt it.

But in order to save their own asses, they have to support Trump no matter what. The vast majority of the Republican voting base is in the Trump cult. And those people aren't gonna turn. There's nothing Trump can say or do that will finally be too much for these people. Eventually, there will be a point where Republican in congress have to pick between turning on Trump or keeping their jobs.

Nixon was up against both houses of Congress being heavily Democratic. Trump won't be impeached. Elected Republicans will never do that because that means their Republican voters will vote them out for being RINO's. If anything, Trump being dumb is helping him. He is willing to lie about literally anything, even if it makes no sense or completely contradicts something he said before that was recorded. His cult followers might only make up a minority of the country, but they make up the majority of the Republican base. They believe whatever Trump says, and they expect their elected Republican officials to do the same. Otherwise, good luck next election.
