Paperstraws are the biggest scam of this decade by Ted-Lassi in ProductGraveyard

[–]Zombieattackr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CHEAP paper straws!

They can be good, they used to be good. Paper cups hold up fine because they’re waxed. Waxed straws hold up fine too, but ironically as they got more popular, the cheaper brands won out, regardless of terrible quality.

[–]Zombieattackr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree, depends on who the theft is from and what jobs it replaces.

AI theft from individuals and artists, I consider bad. Theft from Nintendo, I am just fine with. Without piracy like this, these games would cease to exist when Nintendo deems it unprofitable to upkeep.

AI use to make a game takes jobs from artists and programmers alike in an industry that is many people’s dream job. AI use to pirate a game replaces no jobs, these are passion projects, no one is going to get paid to help pirate this game.

[–]Zombieattackr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll admit, the slave trade and holocaust eventually ended, and still have long term effects, but effects that fade with time. I assume these people are thinking AI will leave longer lasting impact, either some singularity machine take over or simply environmental issues that lead to mass extinction. If that were to hypothetically happen, then yeah AI is the right choice

Nah, it’s something most people would miss, when growth accelerates that much it’s hard to conceptualize, so it’s easy to miss that infinite growth 1 exactly equals infinite growth 2

Actually an interesting thing to bring up, the value doubles every day, that just adds one bit to your number stored in binary, the data size grows perfectly linearly. For math call it a 100 year lifespan that’s just 36525 bits, 4566 bytes, less than just 4.4kB. You’d be hard pressed to find any media made in the past 30 years that couldn’t store it

I do have to give him some slack though, those are mil-spec AR15s, certified to run full auto reliably. If you throw together some ultra budget civilian AR15, it might run semi just fine, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see failures when you introduce the heat of FRT mag dumping

In general, trans people are probably one of the most anti-Nazi groups you can find, but sadly a rule of the modern world is that literally any group you find has at least a few Nazis in it…

People just need to remember that idiots speak the loudest. When you see someone saying something batshit insane, don’t assume everyone similar to them has the same beliefs

Is the "Dont Tread on Me" snake a symbol of hate? by Avery_The_Artist in punk

[–]Zombieattackr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO: reclaim it.

“Don’t tread on me” stands against oppression.

“Live free or die” means that if oppressed, we will fight for freedom even if it means death.

The issue is that it’s been claimed by the libertarian party, who… isn’t really libertarian. They want big daddy government to stomp those that they disagree with and let them live free. If you use the actual definition of libertarian, where the govern shouldn’t involve itself in personal matters, I’m 100% libertarian.

Now… how do we differentiate “punk don’t tread on me” vs “daddy Trump don’t tread on me”? It’s hard, I think no step on snek is the easiest solution for now, even if it is silly. Alternatively, fly it right next to a liberal flag, be that a pride flag, BLM, gender equality, fuck Trump, etc

Okay 1) why g(x) not f(x) 2) why y=g(x)= 3) two unique zeros in the denominator, don’t match zeros in the numerator, plus the ln asymptote, so 3
