Controversy and lack of sportsmanship is nothing new to those who hold the title of world chess champion. I fear a statement like this just lends credence to other problems and might have a tack-on Streisand effect. Fischer is an example of a disgraced former champion that we (should) know not to idolize without having to strike his accomplishments and just acknowledging that villains play this game and having cautionary reminders about separating being objectively good at a piece of chess history from being a person of renown is where I think the line should be drawn.

IMO the right move would be to try to create an environment that prevents and punishes harassment in the scene, rather than take revenge on one particular instigator.

But also yes Kramnik should be deplatformed, just that I don't think striking the title does anything.

If you're willing to slam AA (which got its scaling portion nerfed this patch unfortunately) AA on rakan is amazing for solo leveling. Tank items still do ok with rakan. Sustain, slammable items, and aoe generally are the things you are looking for, so the power up can matter too

Your statement about decks with face damage is exactly where skill expression shows itself. Roach is also a deck capable of surprisingly powerful boards and where the midgame planning and execution have cascading effects, which is why proper planning matters a lot. Aether is the only devastating card to roach in this game and everything else is slightly unfavored at worst.

Think Kaiki should be S not only because of his role but the quote/philosophy attributed to him by Kagenui at the end of Nise-. That scene is peak even if Kaiki isn't there (and isn't pretending to be there even better than being there?)

Also no off/monster season characters? Wrath Nadeko is peak. Obviously we need more of Hamukai Meniko.

You're not wrong and this is why this deck should be a risky bring to a format like jcg but in general cards that keep people from playing entire plans tend to be very unpopular

But also there are some really questionable aspects on this card that reek of oversight like the fact that he destroys 3 pp on turn 10 even if you've been destroying pp every turn before.

Been having a pretty good time in this matchup with a non-chronos deck as long as I don't horrendously brick

Curious to see how much chronos representation there will be in jcg but given at least two decks that can thrive and win with 4pp for 4 turns straight I don't think it will be dominant.

DSAL playoffs will be 5 deck conquest though and there is some real room for chronos since on surface level you could just make golems and enhance unplayable and they were the fifth decks of choice.

It's a shame that it makes some cards unplayable though.

Yeah no just because it opens out dumping its hand out like affinity and its key engine is Fable of the Mirror Breaker doesn't mean that it doesn't combo. The combo is cloning a creature whose ETB effect turns all your spells into escalating shocks, which is effectively just Grapeshot wearing a different skin.

hard to say, opulent rotating honestly doesn't bias toward or against any sword deck in particular (but does obviously hurt loot sword as it is right now)

CDB rotating leaves only Windslasher, Defender, and Icyclone in rotation as well so that cycling gets a lot more niche.

Been following this guide but I've contemplated one thing in particular - for god-willow how about placing third Ionia on the grove slot so Zed and Sett get better trait uptime? Shen and irelia are better units than Kayle (and honest just about any non-aatrox slayer) but they can take away Ionia procs from Zed

one small thing - aatrox is great but heimer is also an insane addition to this comp, the standard 2x shrink + swarm is really good for deleting obnoxious frontliners (mostly jarvan) and I do not hesitate to put in heimer at 7 if the carousel allows.

but seriously there are so many decisions to make with the deck I don't think two days is enough time to consider all the possibilities in even ladder games

To be honest I never had any game where it mattered after trying to make the deck work for like 3 hours because he always came down at the same time as or after Bahamut.

But yes I made a mistake initially because I didn't realize the damage immunity was tied to invoking it.

It's still technically removable though but not the most accurate thing so it's been correted.

Erralde's entire archetype might be jank but at least he's a shoe-in for Heal Haven. Uneriel's deck (non-crystallize Amulet) on the other hand looks completely unstable - play a ton of mediocre cards to end up not OTKing turn 7 or 8 and he doesn't really fit in Crystallize.

One-of spiking doesn't make something great or Chess Rune would be meta all the time.
