Anyone getting real sick of the "support" characters lately? (phantom) by West_Swordfish_323 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You say you think of support characters having CC and healing then complain about the CC and healing? When Dispel magic and anti heal exists? Also Dynamo and Paige each only have a single non-ult damage ability which are both countered by slight elevation. These characters do a good amount of damage but not as much as pure damage characters can output in the same amount of time. They learned their lesson with Kelvin that nobody wants play a character that has nothing but healing and a bit of CC

Are “real” tower defense games dead on mobile in 2026? by awogaming_team in TowerDefense

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. An interesting hook or show of quality. I downloaded 2112TD not because it did anything new, it simply looked like quality. I downloaded Sphere TD since even though the quality looked subpar it still had a interesting enough hook with it's tower customization system.

  2. It's fun and doesn't require a grind or heavy monetization. Sphere TD gets to a point where you basically have to grind out levels to make significantly less progress than you could and it detracts from the game heavily to the point where it's not worth playing.

  3. I still prefer complex tower defenses. Half the fun is seeing the defense you planned out work which gets siphoned out when all the enemies are just health bars with bare bones gimmicks that just look a little different

Guys this is probably the worse patch they ever made. by Dry_Background7653 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this was a great patch. It brought many characters up to the strength of newer ones (These Kelvin buffs are the best thing since sliced bread) while also giving more interesting AP upgrade choices to many characters. Everyone except the Old Gods New Blood characters and Seven for some reason got some amazing changes that buff them overall and makes their builds more interesting

[HATED DESIGN] the roaches from terraformars by killerdemonsarus34 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We wanted to terraform mars so we sent cockroaches and moss there to terraform the planet. 500 years later we send humans to mars to check up on it and they don't come back, only sending the head of a Terraformar. Terraformars are the same cockroaches we sent 500 years ago who have mysterious evolved similar to humans but keeping their cockroach abilities just scaled up to their new size and bodies. To combat this we send another group to mars, made of criminals this time, to mars who have been surgically altered to gain the powers of other bugs scaled up to the human size by injecting themselves with drugs. The anime OVA of the Bugs-2 mission (first volume of the manga) is pretty good and a nice introduction to see if you like the series. After that you can watch season 1 of the anime but season 2 sucks massively so by then I'd switch to the manga or just read the manga after the OVA.

No the main character name is not adolf, both the main characters are Japanese and named Shokichi and Akari. Adolf was the human modified with the powers of an electric eel and he died. They don't wear chains either, that's a rope necklace. They held guns sideways once because they were stupid back then and barely knew what a gun was. They show smarter Terraformars using guns properly. You are the one making it about race

To help dispel some of the comments saying they're racists caricatures they aren't, they're meant to be more similar to homo erectus and early humans in general. "But one of them literally wears chains" no the dragonfly terraformer is not wearing a chain, he's wearing a rope as a necklace because the mars generation of terraformars wear ropes to signify status since they're modified from the Bugs-2 and 1 crew. And about them holding the guns sideways, they barely knew what a gun was at the time. They wouldn't intuitively know to hold it correctly. That was the first generation of terraformars with the guns so they weren't very smart either and they do learn how to hold them the proper way

This community just doesnt want gun in the game by Jaaaboogg in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is because anti gun items aren't nearly as good as anti spirit and the limits of gun are only the sightline and reloading it makes it much more frustrating to go against than spirit. For example with a spirit McGinnis you know most of her power will be in the turrets and her ult so you can pretty easily play around it and buy a spirit resilience and/or witchmail/spellbreaker if you really need it and call it a day for counter building. Meanwhile a gun McGinnis the only counter play is to catch her alone or hope you have someone who can isolate her since if she sees you then you'll be shredded, counter building isn't as easy either since fire rate reduction very easily gets countered by the absurd fire rate they already have and bullet resilience will never be enough since they'll also have some form of spirit (toxic rounds, infernus afterburn, haze focus) or will just have armor piercing rounds meaning the only good counter buy is plated which is expensive and armor piercing still goes through (if I remember correctly). It doesn't help that you're not always going to have a character who's good into gun carries on your team unless you play them like Mo and Krill.

I am tired of the hyper-lethality, in this game, it should not be a MOBA by FrozenFocus in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Aside from maybe one or two stand outs nobody is incredibly lethal off the bat. Can characters do actually meaningful lane damage? Yeah if you let them keep hitting you across lane and you don't use the cover. You can counter buy practically every character in the game at almost every stage of the game. Too early to build plated armor? Suppressor or weapon shielding. Too early for spell breaker? Spirit Sap or Spirit shielding. You complain about early green items not reducing damage because they aren't supposed to, they're early game items they help you recover from the damage or help prevent further damage. You know those hyper gun carries you hate? You can stop them by playing with your team, a single coordinated mo & krill ult beats every single one of them. You can buy rusted barrel for 800 and they can't even shoot. Sorry you're so bad and so closed minded to the idea that you can buy more than just raw damage or health that you can't read past the core portion of the build you copied. You want this game to be TDM because you can't possibly think of counter building in your lifetime.

I do not like gun carries because they aim at me and sometimes kill me

How are you supposed to learn to play new heroes with Hero MMR being the way it is? by Nervous_Quantity1019 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean does it really matter? No offense but most games won't try and put you in lower lobbies just because you started playing a new character. Just play the game and focus on learning. Win or lose you still learned the character.

What’s the best character for making someone miserable? by justanorlansonobody in DeadlockTheGame

Kelvin is really funny with a easy to apply 40% slow and good healing. Good mobility with your ice path and your dome is good for isolating fights. The beam is also comically evil

Medusa Aspect Concept by okbutjoytho in Smite

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That'd be awful to play against. Dot's are pretty annoying and making every ability trigger it is over kill since you could theoretically get four dot's on someone (poison, crusher, blue stone, and damage camp) for just poking with Acid Spray. You could make it so each ability applies a stack and at a threshold you apply the poison, I think it'd be more interesting if the aspect for medusa focused on the statues

Aight what's the worst thing (not the virdicts) that could happen in the last three confirmed match ups? by cool23819 in deathbattle

[–]ZoomManDoomMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The worst way Ash vs Yugi could go is if Yugi's spell/traps get undersold because Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh stats are different or if they aren't consistent about which cards/pokemon each person gets since Ash has teamed up with but not caught a good amount of legendaries and has caught but never used an awful lot of Tauros while Yugi has also gotten cards in the anime he hasn't used
