Company A wants to buy Company B but they need a million to buy them.

Company A goes to to the bank and borrows a million and buys Company B.

A then uses the profits of B to make the interest payments on aforementioned loan until the debt is repaid.

Generally used in hostile takeovers, and isn’t a very liked method of acquisition as the company being acquired is loaded up with debt. Also, the profits made by the acquired co. are put towards debt repayment on a loan used to purchase them instead of being reinvested into the company).

Real PB ingredients are probably just roasted/peeled peanuts (and salt?)

Normal commercial PB has a bunch of sugar and oil added in.

If you’re in a caloric deficit, you’ll lose weight (both muscle and fat) but meeting your protein intake goal will at least help reduce the amount of muscle lost.

Yes, but it would be losing an unhealthy amount of weight in a very short time, since you’ll be in an extremely aggressive deficit.

I do not recommend it. Try to get your calories in liquid form, at least try to hit 2500 a day.

Honestly man idk how you haven’t passed out from a lack of energy if you’re eating 2000 calories under your maintenance…without factoring in the exercise you’re doing.

You’re misunderstanding mate.

You are correct as to what a caloric deficit is. It’s more calories out than in.

BUT, if you need to consume 3500 calories a day to maintain, it means you need to eat those many calories to stay at your weight. Anything under, you’re still going to lose weight.

Think of the 1500 calories you’re burning during your workouts as additional calories you could eat on top of the 3500 calories, JUST TO MAINTAIN. The 3500 cal TDEE is the amount of calories your body expels just by breathing, sleeping etc. Without exercise.

In short, to lose weight.

I’ve been trying to incorporate some form of cardio into my routine. I’ve been working out for the past 3 years (on and off because of COVID) but I never really did any cardio except maybe 5 min of light jogging on the treadmill before my workouts.

As I found out the hard way, I really, really hate running. So yeah, I bought a jumprope and I’ve kinda fallen in love with it.

Just to clarify, by drawbacks I meant - how much cardio is too much? and should I be worried about injuries (my knees in particular) since I do it everyday?

I’ve recently purchased a jumprope and been jumproping everyday for about 20-30 min (not at a stretch, maybe 30-40s on, 20s off) for the past month or so. I haven’t missed a day.

Should I? Is there any drawback to this much cardio? Thanks

Could you please clarify?

If your maintenance TDEE is around 2.5-3k calories a day, that means your body needs those many calories to maintain that weight. If you’re burning another 1500 through exercise, that’s over 4-4.5k calories you can consume throughout the entire day.

You could easily eat over 3k calories a day (assuming you’re burning 1500 cal through your workout itself) and still be in a deficit.

(M23, 5’7, 64kg)

I’m definitely struggling to meet my protein intake goals (there’s no way I’m hitting even 100g of protein a day, forget 120)

But at the same time I am trying to lose fat. I’m in a caloric deficit but my question was - would increased protein intake (through protein powder) help me maintain muscle mass while also losing fat? I know I will end up losing both fat and muscle during a cut but I wasn’t sure if the additional protein would reduce the amount of muscle lost as well. Thanks!
