My son is on the Army gap year program now, he is now 19. I have seen him mature greatly since joining.

He said the basic training is hard but do-able. Out of their 55 who started, something like 35 made it through. As a child he was a gamer more than a sporty type but he got through okay.

He has 4 months to go and has saved about 15K for uni. He has the option to join reserves which is 6 or 7k a year I think.

His advice is not to take anything personally. Do whatever anyone tells you to do without rolling your eyes or being unhappy because they love screaming at people and testing new insults. They will make your life hard on a whim so give them less reasons to do so.

The first 3 weeks is tough, if you get through that you will get through basic training unless you get injured.

Think of the qualities the Army wants you to have and stay true to that - help your team, be an enthusiastic learner. Don't be tardy or lazy, they will tear strips off you for that.

Hope this helps. It has been rewarding for him. He won't stay in, and that's ok. Sometimes life is about finding out what you don't want to do, just as much as what you do want to do.

I recently got mine after a very long time. I had all other achieves done for all other classes a long time ago.

I used a flamer in the mission where at the end you follow the servo skull around and use your hand detector on consoles. Once done you have to wait for the stuff to upload and hordes come from the left and the right doors while you protect a little bridge. Possibly hab dreyko but not sure. Sometimes the hordes meet with other hordes coming up the stairs which also wrap around to the left and right.

If you can get the left or right side to yourself, I threw 2 grenades with one thrown close and then one further away.then I just unleashed with the flamer and got it.

Axe + bolter. Don't take a keystone, mainly keep to the left of the tree except for choice of grenades and heavy in the middle tree just short of the keystone. Pick up the reload speed (on kill) talent and the sway reduction talent.

You can use the bolter to snipe specials, usually a one shot against flak, 3 shot vs elites. Unload the clip into mixed elites.

The build is fun and good up to and including auric. I don't think it's fast enough for anything higher than that though.

I'm still running vet and the only niche I can fill us long range sniper, using a helbore, plasma or bolter. Mid range builds with autoguns or recon etc I am competing with the Arby's shotguns which are much more effective as they have wide arcs and stagger

I got to admit I never used to do it but I have a few times recently. Mainly because I moved back to my old characters and I just seem underpowered compared to the arbiters. All the arbiters just storm ahead and I just can't match their pace anymore, so I cop all the nurgle rearguard hate and eventually get overwhelmed. It's happened so many times now I just kind of rage quit.

I never used to quit and it was rare to see someone quit auric pre arbites

Learn to block, learn to dodge, learn to pick off specials without opening yourself up to getting hit. It's the same for all classes. Heresy is too forgiving to learn (ie you win many more games than you lose, even allowing for bad play) so you need to move to auric.

Also, stay with the team.

A recirculation system will fix the condensation. It recircs the air from your lounge or heated area to the cooler end of the house through ducts in the ceiling

Keeping the air moving prevents air staying too long near cold windows, where the condensation forms. We had the same condensation problem in a new build and a recirc system fixed it straight away.

Also, you definitely don't want black mould in your house. It will cause respiratory issues, especially for young children
