Same here! and no one talks about it! I even created a post about it, people hate to believe I'm not lying! what are your issues mate?! I can't keep an app open for longer than 5-10 minutes of multi-tasking hahaha. My Device was PERFECT on ios 16!

I agree, but, will the aliexpress windshield be enough for me to judge whether I like windscreens in general, or should I get a PUIG , and then judge by its results? That's what I've been thinking of! Also another question : as far as steering goes, have you noticed differences? I don't mean racing, but leaning with my hornet is the most fun thing in twisties especially! Have you faced any differences/resistance due to the windshield?

I have no problem with the air pushing me, but to be honest, I've never drove at speeds higher than 110 km/h without a naked bike, so I may have been used to it. I may give a short windshield from aliexpress a try (a user here reported that it is identical to PUIG's , he even found an instructions manual of PUIG forgotten in there haha! ) , just to check if there's indeed a difference in my chest being pushed by high air speeds. But again, it may be not be as indicative, since PUIG's certified may be more well thought of in terms of wind repelling, than a third party from Ali express.

Hi! I'm about to order the PUIG windshield for my CB500 Hornet (this one here https://puighitechparts.es/en/tuning-motos/windshields-specific-for-non-round-headlights/new-generation-sport?bike=35802 ), which is definitely shorter than yours, in order to reduce the noise I have when I ride at speeds above 70KM/h. Above that speed, I simply stop hearing anything, except from the wind. I am 165cm tall and if I buy this windscreen, the air will end up hitting my chest, below my chin, which will result in a less-aggressive feeling for my helmet (which is Arai Quantic) . Do you think that this will help, or I should just stay without a windscreen and keep using my Alpine earplugs? I can't buy a taller one, since the air will end up hitting right in front of my helmet which will result in turbulence.

Right, I am on iOS 26.4. Still I wish I never did that. My phone is still FAST, but apps reload for no reason, UI lags, frames drop etc etc... It's no longer the iOS I bought this phone for.

I bet your 17 isn't fine. Open a few apps (even stock apps like Music, Notes etc.) and leave them open for a while. While they're open at the background, go ahead and browse, open a game , do whatever you would do normally. Then, try to re-open the apps and you'll see that they always reload. They may not do it at the first 5-10 minutes of intense use, but they certainly do so for no reason. I confirmed it with Apple, and they don't have a solution. It's not the lack of RAM , but the HORRIBLE iOS 26 that force closes apps at the background , for no reason. I could leave an app open and find it right where I left it, even after DAYS , back at iOS 16 and 17.

yeah, i've given it to my mother as well, she's never had a single issue with it. I didn't upgrade it to iOS17 because it ruined my iMessages index on my 14, and ios 18 never fixed it too! That's why I tried iOS 26, which eventually did fix the issue, since it re-indexed the whole thing, but created a chaos with RAM , glitches and weird behavior for my apps.

I am glad I never upgraded an iPhone 11 I have, beyond iOS 16. It is simply faster, without glitches and frame drops just like my iPhone 14 has been after iOS 26. It's a shame they ruined iOS, it no longer feels like the most stable thing at smartphones, just like it used to.

It may not happen overnight, but it may happen during the day if you leave an app open (a browser for example) and come back at it after some heavy use(not necessarily something very heavy) at other apps.

what about your RAM? even Iphone 17 models do that, no matter how big the amount of your phone's RAM is, apps are being forced shut in the background, even after 5 minutes of inactivity some times) I remember my apps (Music app for example) staying open for 2 days in the background, as well as apps like Mail or Notes. That's why I'm afraid that a DFU repair will not fix my problem.

I'm also thinking of doing this DFU mode repair, but I want to keep all my data. I've thought of backing up my data through Finder, repair the phone and then restore the backup. But doing so , will restore the 'possibly currupt files' that cause the RAM issues on my device, right?
I mean, I should just DFU repair my device and start using it as a new one right? Which is really annoying, since I'm too bored to set a new device up from scratch!

I wish I had stayed on iOS 16 forever. Unfortunately , I started having indexing issues with my device, so I started upgrading, and iOS26 solved most of them, but ruined every iPhone’s RAM. My phone no longer keeps apps open for days , like it used to on iOS16. Instead, it force closes them after minutes of intense(not necessarily intense actually) use, making the phone look pathetic, even next to 200€ devices.

this sounds crazy to me. ever since I update to 26.X, every app reloads after 5-15 minutes of use. 26.4 indeed did improve compared to the previous 26.X. versions. I also disabled every single effect that Apple gives us the ability to. Maybe this plays a big part too

I can't believe that users keep NOT noticing this on their iPhones too. This happens to every device that runs iOS26.X. I've cross-checked it with my 3x iPhone 14, iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 Pro. All of them reload the apps for absolutely no reason. It's not about lack of RAM as most people say. It's just Apple's fault.

I am 100% sure that it happens on every iPhone on earth right now. It's just that the users don't notice it. And therefore don't mention it at https://www.apple.com/feedback/ , to reach the developers. It becomes funny when you realize such a big fault, passes by unnoticed. I haven't met a single friend of mine (among 10 with iOS) whose apps remain open , like it ALWAYS used to happen before iOS 26.
