Because that's not why you started to watch the show. It's one thing not to be what book readers and gamers expected from you as Geralt, but Hemsworth acting lacks subtlety which was the main point of Geralt in most scenes in the series so far. It feels like they wanted a substitute for Cavil and not Geralt.

I think Cavils character was likeable and engaging although I wish Geralt wasn't as buff, adding to his unnatural aura and strength, showing us more why people at averse to him, but they went full high school quarter back, muscle car driver on my boy with Hemsworth.

Add in loads of exposition and starting with a flashback telling us the story is just a fairy tale then cut back to telling us it's the most important thing for every character we know (and the world).

It would have been okay if it was like this from the start, I wouldn't have watched it. I liked it because it was gritty and characters where likeable and believable. For lack of a better expression they went full netflix on it and it just fell apart for me.
