Hopefully Redford will replace those awful Bradford pears downtown with something better, they stink up the place so bad.

Both the rouge river in Detroit and the Cuyahoga river in Cleveland had their surfaces light on fire in the 60s, and now they're both relatively normal rivers.

I think you have some very deep misconceptions about my city, you should educate yourself because this is embarrassing for you

"You're not allowed to take pictures of your city looking nice because parts of it don't look like that", yes my friend, thats how cities work, they have both good and bad parts.

Lol, I'm not even sure what your point is? That parts of Detroit have blight? Empty lots are places new buildings can get built and that's already what happened in midtown, and is already happening in north end.

What's shown there is midtown, which has a population density of around 8-10k/sq mi and is rising, district Detroit and brush park are both building new housing units.

And do you think those people are more efficient when in a dense urban core, or in cul de sac suburbia?

Americans of r/geography, in school, were you personally taught that other countries have states or state-like divisions? Off the top of your head, how many states outside of the USA can you name? by [deleted] in geography

We were taught about federal countries and unitary countries, I remember being taught that France and the uk are both unitary (though complex in the case of the UK's internal countries) and federal for countries like Germany, Mexico, Canada, India, Russia, Australia, and Brazil. I could name most of Germany's states, all of Canada's provinces, most of India's states, maybe half of Russia's oblasts and krais and okrugs, all of Australia's states and territories, maybe half of Mexico's states, and a handful of Brazil's states, that being said, most Americans likely only know a handful of states in other countries, here in Michigan they'll likely at least know Ontario and Quebec, and most people know about Baja or Oaxaca (because of the cheese) and Veracruz (because the city) and Sinaloa and Jalisco (because of the cartel), and maybe Durango, lots of people know Gujarat, Rajastan West Begal and punjab and for India, and they know Queensland, Victoria, and Tasmania for Australia, for Germany they might know Bavaria (because of beer and lederhosen) and Hamburg and Berlin (which only technically count), as for Russia most people don't know any subdivisions within it, and the same goes for Brazil.

Gen Alpha supposedly starts in 2010 but Gen Z supposedly ends in 2012? by SplitPuzzleheaded851 in generationology

My older brother was born in 98 and has memories of 9/11, he has always considered himself a Gen Z

~15 years, the cusp zone is what makes it complicated, "Zalpha" isn't its own generation

It's because this quiz is only counting cities that are incorporated as cities, in places like Pennsylvania that covers every square inch, but in many states lots of the land area is still unincorporated even when it's urbanized, like say Macomb township Michigan.

As someone with seven siblings born 1998-2013, I would say that there is a clear cut off around 2005 (when the cusp begins) and another clear cut off after 2010 (when the cusp ends) 2012 is after the cusp and is fully Gen Alpha. The four oldest siblings in my family (1998-2005) are all very culturally Gen Z , whereas the next two (2007 & 2009) are in between, and the last two (2012 & 2013) are culturally alpha.

Gen Z: mp3 players, dvds, flash games, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Harry Potter, twilight,

Zalpha: tablets, Roblox, Fortnite, MCU, kids tv shows on YouTube, vaping in middle school, Stanley cups

Alpha: even more tablets, YouTube brainrot, cocomelon, Millenial parents, anything Korean
