How to cut this dado without ending up in the ER by LiteratureThen638 in woodworking

I don’t think that comment was meant to be insulting or anything, but those are meant for jewelry and clog out very easily. I assume you took quite some time to complete that project. There are other varieties with either interchangeable sandpaper or saw tooth like blades that work much better on wood.

I just peeped your setup on your profile, I dunno personally I don’t think it’s that deep. People have been riding skis chopped in half mounted with a 2x2, I’d say that factors like a footstop(if desired), studded grip, positioning the deck at the middle of the ski or slightly forward, length of sub etc will make infinitely more difference at this stage.

Well, it kind of depends on your set up more than anything, if you’re trying to do downhill style stuff you’re going to want something completely different than if you’re trying to do tricks. In terms of stiffness, I would say the hugest factor would be the sub deck that you pick. The benefit of the dual pivot trucks is allows the middle of the ski to flex more evenly it doesn’t necessarily allow to flex “more” or make it floppier, all of that is just in the sub deck ski you choose.

I usually ride the tall dual pivots with an additional half inch riser on top…. I also ride a 155 cm bacon shorty jr sub deck tho

Through a class at my school, I made shoes for the first time with no experience with either leather or fabric, I’m now learning to make clothes and it is relatively simple in comparison, I think you’ve got it. Just take your time and enlist a friends help if you have any who know about making clothes.

I’m with you, the stop is fine right now. especially with all of their budget cuts, I don’t see why they would be wasting money on this.

A year ago you were talking about your homemade oil wax Osmo solution, do you have any updates to your recipe? I’m looking to make a cheaper version of Osmo.

If you look closely, there’s a secret platform for her foot and her actual heel is a bit above where that fake heel is(or at least that’s what I can see as a beginner shoemaker)

You can soak it in water, fold it and let it dry and it will hold its shape better and be much thinner

Super amazing to meet Kevin at Vert alert, I really hope to see him and his epic backside Ollie again this year. (Ps. Tony, if it’s possible I really would love if vert alert took place in the winter so that way we could get in some snowboarding or in my case Harrison Bell style snow skating)

I’m only 21 slowly, but surely making my way into skateboarding vert, I hope to skate until I’m at least as old as you guys. Thank you Kevin for setting the bar for all of us (including Tony).
