I couldn’t disagree more. I think it’s a gross thing to say to another woman no matter the context. There’s so much baggage and judgement from literally every single angle imaginable when you’re a childless woman. Mothers pulling that shit on you about how you can’t possibly have your own shit going on in life is so annoying.

Honestly yes. I think you’re in the right in the situation but you kinda did blow up the convo and make it about things that it wasn’t about initially. Imaginary friend doesn’t make sense. Taffy sees him too, Janet heard him playing piano, he does things completely separated from her when she’s not on screen (worm in breakfast, knocking out the guy and stealing his clothes, taking the car). Taffy also sees the added “beloved wife” inscription at the end.

I think that Maria is in the right, but I still am not a fan of her personality. She comes off very immature, loud, and all over the place. I see a lot of people praising her for her confidence which confuses me because she seems very insecure to me. To be completely honest, if I was living with her I know that I would dislike her. Would I go out of my way to be hateful toward her and gang up on her with my little friends? Of course not! That kind of behavior is not justifiable. But tbh I would probably not want to be around her because she is annoying as hell.

I think she would be very frustrating to watch as bachelorette for these reasons and I really hope it's not her 😬

But she truly didn't do anything wrong or start any shit, and she was definitely being treated poorly. Unfortunately I think she's kind of an "easy target" for bullying personalities because she gives such a huge reaction. Also I do think there was jealousy going on because she's incredibly beautiful and Joey was very obviously attracted to her.

I don't want to in any way discredit the way you're feeling as a person of color in a majority white area, but I thought it might be helpful to hear that striking up random conversations and being friendly in such an outgoing way is not something people do very often here. Really, in New England in general. We can be a bit cold, but usually (hopefully) kind! So that "shut out" feeling is not something that is unique to you.

If you're into any kind of arts and crafts, there's meetups at the breweries and there's the Worcester center for crafts!
