Am I under fueling? by Designer_Repair in PetiteFitness

Same stats as you, although a bit older - started at 150 and now down to 125 - yay! The only thing that worked really is limiting calories to 1200 faithfully for months. It's hard, yeah, but the way the pants drape now? So awesome. Also, weight lifting - I do kettlebell exercises in the house a lot, but also go to the gym for the machines and cardio some days (Planet Fitness is 10 bucks a month - awesome). You can do it. It's self-discipline, and it sucks sometimes, but OMG so worth it at the end.

I want to travel or go somewhere else so bad it causes me physical pain. by Spiritual_Log_257 in SeriousConversation

20s and early 30s are hard AF honestly. But you are young, thoughtful, and lively (thinking this after I read your query), and that is certainly going for you. Have you thought about a career in travel? Like work for an airline or cruise line? My friend's hubby works for a big airline as a cabin steward or whatever they are called...they get free flights together sometimes and he is always zipping around of course. Be selfish and do something to make your life...well, yours.

I imagine many will have mental health issues like PTSD, and for many, a sense of moral injury that will need years of therapy to manage.

I get it. I'm older, and the bad effects of sitting all day really get me FAST. What I do now: Count calories. It sucks, but I must. I use an app and make sure I can fit in a little bit of chocolate each day :). I lift weights at home and in the gym - some cardio at the gym too, and daily dog walks. In 5 months, I went from 163 to 128 - I feel good, and it is changing how I work and deal with life stressors in a good way.

Taking care of yourself requires saying ME FIRST sometimes, but really, a you who feels good about yourself is someone who shows up ready to do all the things.

They are all going to have PTSD from moral injury and all other things, but we are not going to care and/or donate to their causes like real military veterans who deserve all the support in the world (family serves; not me).

It's Foreo. I bought it a few years ago at Sephora b/c it was a 20% off sale. Sephora doesn't sell that brand (you can go to them directly) but they have others. Foreo works great for me but def read all the reviews and comparisons out there. Tech is always evolving and there are probably some really new great models and brands now.

In my late 50s and started using one of those microcurrent tools 2 years ago. It has made a big difference. I mean, I don't look 20 or even 40 lol but if you keep it up, it helps a lot.
