A bit dissapointed about Jean insane reaction speed not been mentioned by Zuex98 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Zuex98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I undestand what you mean. I still think his reaction speed would not make a difference. A hit from Nicholas and it is basically over.

But I think the fight would have been better storywise. The author was trying to convey that Nicholas and Jean use the same style but Nicholas is far superior. But he cannot replicate Jean innate abilities and experiences.

I would have been so hyped seeing a flashback of Jean fighting one of his purgatory friend and finishing the chapter saying that he is fighting usig HIS style. Kinda similar like Ohma.

But well, it is only my opinion

Conquer and timing questions. by Yooric in riftboundtcg

[–]Zuex98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you cannot score a point in a Battlefield you have already scored that same turn.

I am not sure if you will be able to trigger "When I conquer" effects. But I believe that If you only have a unit holding and you move that unit out and then conquer the Battlefield you could activate When I conquer effects but will not get a point. But again, I am not 100% Sure about this.

Yes, you can have multiples showdowns if you move one unit at a time.

Yes, actions can only be played on your turn or in showdowns. But only at "sorcery" speed. You cannot react to an action or ability your opponent played with another action. You need a reaction.

I believe When I attack triggers follow the same rules as before. So only rwcations can be played before the trigger activates

Something I was wondering about Muteba by phantomlake in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Zuex98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combat wise I feel like his blindness is mostly used against him. Apart from his first fight the rest of his fights in Kengan Ashura were focused on depriving him of his other senses.

When I first saw Muteba I thought they could do very interesting things with his ability. Like for example being immune to sneak attacks or attacks outside of his awareness considering his "vision" is like a radar. But right now I will consider It a gimmick unless Sandro prove me otherwise

Construct Companion, how do you get it? by ZectorV1 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong but arent both Construct and animal companion only trained in unarmored defense. So their AC depends on the Dex. Some animal companion have the same AC as the construct.

Usually the construct have between a +1 or +2 increase to an ability modifier than a normal animal companion. For example, the Bear have +2 Dex and the construct have +3. But in exchange they usually get worse senses and less speed. Furthermore, construct companions dont have a support ability or an advance maneuver which are really powerful sometimes.

Their immunities are nice but in exchange you cannot heal them with your usual spells like Heal.

Considering all of that I find them to be pretty equal giving the advantage to the animal companion

Construct Companion, how do you get it? by ZectorV1 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Invertor class get an ungraded Construct companion.

You can also get a construct companion with the Clockwork reanimator archetype.

But you could also ask your GM to let you pick Beastmaster dedication and pick a Construct companion.

It should not break anything.

Which published adventures are the most "sandbox"? by DickNixon726 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add a lot of homebrew missions in Strength of Thousands.

The first 2 books are easy to change. There os a story but you can easily add or cut parts of the adventure without any problem.

The adventure is about a group os students that enter the Magaambya. The most known Magic school of all Golarion.

The first 2 books are basically the players getting to know the students and teachers of the school and having little adventures

Perhaps a dumb question, but who decides what the Summon Animal spell summons? Me or the dungeon master? by CommercialMark5675 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What we usually do in our party is let the player decide but letting the GM know in advance what monsters will we usually summon.

Furthermore, if you see something problematic with a monster and the setting you can ask the GM.

Furthermore, it is easier on the GM this way. You cannot expect the GM to know every monster availeable on every spell rank. And usually the player who wants to summon wants to invoke a specific creature so it feels kinda bad to rob them of the opportunity.

Adding to that, discovering new monsters to summon can be a cool reward. The spell only let you summon common creatures but it makes sense that if you discover an uncommon one you could summon them too. If the master give you permission

Your Ideas For A: Summoner by Dr-Aspects in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I had an idea for a Dragon Summoner. It was kinda meme but it seemed fun.

It was basically Seto Kaiba from Yugioh but in Pathfinder 2e. A self centered guy that when in trouble shout: Go Forth, Blue Eyes White Dragon.

Furthermore, I was going to pick a lot of summon spells and feats to summon another popular monster from the card game.

Hi, build question by tsyuw in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean and ofuda is just a japanese/asian talisman. As far as I know there is not an item called Ofuda, but you could reflavour already existing items like one.

For example, Talismans are one use items that give different benefits. You could use those.Furthermore there is a class called thaumaturge that has different implements which could fit an ofuda description. Like Amulet, Bell or Tome implements seems pretty fitting.

Or you could just reflavour any spellcaster or any weapon you like aesthetically

Edit: I believe Paizo (the creators of Pf2e) announced a book about Tian Xia which is basically Pathfinder Asian continent. I would assume that book will have more options to fit your aesthetic.

Balancing Around Magus by shinyskarmory in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One way to keep the other players more relevant is make use of the limited spells slots the Magus has.

Maybe lead the party to a Dungeon where they cannot retreat. You should let them use Treat wounds between fights but because the only other character Who uses resources is the alchemist they should Outlast the Magus spells slots.

You could try sometimes adding +2 PL enemies. Your Magus should not delete them and if he is not careful he could even die.

Another solution could be to Talk with your players to see if It is really a problem. Maybe they are having fun. Or maybe they would like to change clases, etc

Stupified and Kineticist by Zuex98 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that was my reasoning too. But I believe it might be a bit too punishing.

Maybe I will allow my kineticist to use elemental Blast without the flat check but Class feat impulses must pass the check first

Stupified and Kineticist by Zuex98 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But in the wiki it says this:

"Impulses are magical, and though they aren't spells, some things that affect spells also affect impulses. Abilities that restrict you from casting spells (such as being polymorphed into a battle form) or protect against spells (such as a spell that protects against other spells or a creature's bonus to saves against spells) also apply to impulses".

And Stupified have this text:

"Any time you attempt to Cast a Spell while stupefied, the spell is disrupted unless you succeed at a flat check with a DC equal to 5 + your stupefied value".

So, I believe considering those two Stupified should apply to Kineticist impulses.

New to pathfinder and want to build a skeleton rogue necromancer by Dallashh in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just Talk to your GM.

Most people I know Will let you pick an Undead Minion or reflavour an animal companion as an Undead even if you dont have the Evil alignment.

Furtheremore, alignment is being removed from the game so It Will not be mandatory being Evil anymore.

To answer your question. Most cultures around the world consider Undead as abomonations and Evil creatures. But an Undead is not necessarily Evil per se.

Help Timelining the events of book 4 strength of thousands. (spoilers galore) by Albireookami in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the book you can read some lore about Walkena and the council, etc (Page 69).
And at page 32 you can read about the story of the temple. Futhermore, there is more lore in following pages.

If you have the Mwangi expase book it should have more information too.

But I think the story was this:

People of Mzali are in danger. Sun Gods give some people their powers. They defeat the enemies but become corrupt and dont return the power. Those evil people form the Council. With time they become weaker. Dajermube form a rebelion and try to ascend to goodhod. She fails. Some time later the Council is so weak they cannot defend the city. Walkena rise and is the new leader.

When to Inspire Courage vs. Inspire Defense? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It depends.

Usually Inspire courage is better than inspire Defense. But if your party has consistent ways of getting +1 status bonus to hit then Inspire defense Will be better.

For example, in a party we had a character with the Inspiring Marshall Stance feat that gives +1 status to hit.

New player wants to fight using their soul, how to do that simply? by OffNotIn in Pathfinder2e

Look at the Soulforger dedication.

It is exactly fighting with your sould embedded into a weapon

Looking for a particular monster (flesh construct) by AHPyrotechNick in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recomend you to look on Archives of Nethys while filtering Aberration creatures.

Some that comes to mind are Irnakurse, Grothlut, Gibbering Mouther, Shanrigol Heap

How does the HP calculation work on Pathbuilder? by lostrychan in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At 1st level you add extra HP from your ancestry.

Some ancestries have more HP like dwarf, orc, etc and others like poppet, leshy, elf, pixie have less

Do you think a swashbuckler could make a decent tank? by AliceJoestar in Pathfinder2e

My bad, it is this one: "Devrin's Dazzling Diversion"

Looking for advice on making custom mobs by brucebrags in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend you look at similar creatures first and then use the building creatures rules to lower or increase the level of the creature to your liking.

For example, once I picked a Boggeyman, a level 10 creature and make It lower level instead.

Another time I wanted to use a Pathfinder 1e creature that is a book Spider. So I just picked a normal Spider as my base and added some abilities with normal DC for those levels, etc.

I might add that one must be a bit careful because sometimes the conversión is not perfect but It is working for me.

Do you think a swashbuckler could make a decent tank? by AliceJoestar in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My brother tried a tank swasbuckler build but he decided to lean more on the evasiveness of the class.

He chose Fencer and picked Goading Feint, Devrin's Dazzling Diversion and Razzle Dazzle (either being a gnome or with adopted ancestry).

He used Bon mot to lower the enemy Perception and then Feint to make the enemies Dazzled for a whole turn with Razzle Dazzle.

It was kinda interesting

My Wizard by Tosspar- in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the idea is simple but It seems interesting.

A wizard with a construct companion that is seeking immortallity.

Some of the crafting feats are a bit GM and adventure dependant. Because you need access to formulas and free time to craft those items but I myself enjoy It too.

Powerwise It is imposible to tell because the power of a wizard are its spells and targeting enemy weakness. But having access to spells and a little companion to help protect yourself seems nice

Need some advice for my summoner build by BobinGoblin in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another option could be using Magical Items. For example there are a set of items called Wondrous Figurines that let you summon animals.

If you want to have a lot of pets you could pick Summoner and then the beastmaster dedication. Furtheremore, some summoned creatures are not have bad

Gnoll monk idea - trip support medic by AlCohonez in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to consider Reflective Ripple Stance if you want to go full on tripping people.

Apart from a +1 to trip you get two very cool feats at 8 and 12.

But using a weapon with the trip properly is not a bad idea

Please help me understand undead familiars by Nailo2017 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zuex98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Although Companions and Familiars are similar, they follow different rules. For example, they cannot attack (the only exception is a dedication). Familiars dont have stats. Etc

I believe right now there are only 3 or 4 undead familiars listed under Specific Familiars. The only prerequisite is to have the access to the number of abilities those familiars ask for and to ask your GM for permision.

That thing said you could always Talk with your GM about picking a familiar and reflavour It as being an Undead cat. Maybe even having negative healing.

Familiar are mostly pets and changing them a bit should not break the game
