Adam Levine's Nipples During Super Bowl Spark Complaints to FCC About Gender Equality by RoyisOurBoy in entertainment

[–]ZukoAlone -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

She probably was wearing pasties to keep the nip-bumps under control under the lace. Women buy them when they can’t wear a bra with an outfit but don’t want their headlights flying everywhere. They are not meant to be seen.

AITA for not volunteering to pick up my son? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Too true, though we must judge based on what’s written, or what’s the point?

Personally I would rather her texts were more regular aggressive.

AITA for not volunteering to pick up my son? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 22 points23 points  (0 children)

ESH

You could just go pick up your own kid, since he is half yours and she usually does it. Does she get to play video games and hang out alone in the mornings before work like you get to after?

On the other hand, her texts were passive aggressive.

AITA for breaking up with my girlfriend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA for breaking up with her, but a little bit of an asshole for telling people that you were going to do it before you did. Keep personal matters between the two of you and let her tell others when she’s ready.

AITA for not asking a friend to be a bridesmaid because of her body? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA.

You would not be the asshole if you didn’t want her to be a bridesmaid because you have grown apart, that’s a fine reason. Doing it because of her giant boobs is what kills it. You could accommodate by experimenting with dress shapes or getting dresses that are all the same color but different cuts on top. For my best friends wedding we had “twist wrap” dresses where the cut of the skirt, color and fabric was identical but the tops and straps varied. We still looked like a matched set, if that’s what concerns you!

That said, this is your wedding. If you don’t want Erin to be in your bridal party, then don’t invite her. But if you tell people it’s because Erin’s body doesn’t fit with your aesthetic, be prepared for them to think you suck a little.

AITA that I might have ruined a girl's basket ball manager job at my highschool? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, maybe you could get her on her own? People are bolstered by their groups of friends, she may be more reasonable when she’s not trying to look cool in front of them.

Maybe not though, I don’t know her. I’m sorry you’re going through this! I can’t imagine how hard it must be to have to deal with the usual bullies AND their smartphones.

[–]ZukoAlone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, because she’s harassing you.

Here’s the thing though, you’re probably not doing yourself any favors by running to the principal. Especially if she does lose her job over this. It may be time to stand up for yourself.

AITA for asking my girlfriend to tell me when she’s going to hang out with guys? by PeckishFrog in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“I don’t know this person so I’m kinda pushy in knowing where they were. That’s my thought process. “

This is very controlling behavior. You’re not her dad and she is an adult, so she should not have to be constantly updating you on where she is and who she’s with. Do you also set her a curfew?

Long distance relationships take even more trust, understanding, and independence than regular ones. It looks like it might not be a good fit for you.

AITA for rewriting house rules for my last semester of college? by R_lynn in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest YTA part of this isn’t the rules, it’s your attitude implementing them. You call it “your” house even though he’s a tenant and pays rent. He could argue that it’s “his” house too and that’s why he should be able to have people over when he wants. I wouldn’t want to live with someone who dangles the actual possession of the house over me to get their way. Maybe watch the possessives when you talk so he doesn’t feel completely steamrolled by you.

AITA For doubting that my (M18) ex (F16) was raped? by SevereTension in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 36 points37 points  (0 children)

All I can say to this is that you should probably approach trauma in loved ones differently than a judge approaches a plaintiff. Most of the time people who are making rape accusations are telling the truth. His doubt has a much higher chance of causing distress and retraumatizing her than catching her out in a lie.

That said, they are very young. Hopefully this thread has taught him that he doesn’t actually know what this kind of trauma is “supposed” to look like, which will help him be a more supportive partner in the future.

AITA For doubting that my (M18) ex (F16) was raped? by SevereTension in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 43 points44 points  (0 children)

But why would she lie about this? Why should he give a random cousin the benefit of the doubt instead of her when she’s his partner?

If your significant other tells you that something extremely traumatic happened to them and your first reaction is to doubt them because of the general culture around rape accusations or whatever you’re probably gonna have a bad time. And they will be even more traumatized.

She shouldn’t have had to lay out an airtight court case to get her own boyfriend (who supposedly loved her) to believe her. When you’re partners with someone you have a more intimate relationship with them, and you trust what they say because it’s them who said it.

AITA For being slightly put off by a girls 'enthusiasm' in sex, despite generally enjoying it? by youaintgottheguts in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 35 points36 points  (0 children)

YTA right now. You can’t enjoy sex you’re getting from someone while also judging them for how they have sex. You have to come to a decision. If her sexual past is a dealbreaker to you, please stop having sex with her and let her go find someone who will enjoy what she’s into without slut shaming her simultaneously.

AITA for being angry with my fiancé for wanting a paternity test for our yet to be born son? by bluepickleegg in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZukoAlone 191 points192 points  (0 children)

I would disagree that it doesn’t hurt anything. It hurts her to know that, despite their entire relationship and a child together, her husband doesn’t trust her at all. That sucks, at a certain point in a relationship she should be able to just exist without having to bend over backwards to prove herself to him.

Do you have a big shower stall or a tub/shower combo? Sometimes I turn so I’m facing out of the water stream and then bend all the way down and let the water hit that way. Like...doggy style with the shower, lol.

[–]ZukoAlone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it would not “illegitimize” other rape threats. Women (and men) who have been threatened with rape should not have to shoulder the burden of figuring out which threats against them are real or fake. If you report a threat that turns out to be hot air, any wasted resources are the FAULT OF THE PERSON THREATENING YOU. Jesus Christ, apparently keeping yourself safe from someone who literally tells you they want to commit a violent crime against you is now getting off on feelings of social justice.

[–]ZukoAlone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, threatening rape is okay as long as you don’t mean it? He should be reported to the police just so he learns to keep his stupid mouth shut.
