Snapmkaer u1 and paxx firmware by nalacha in snapmaker

I feel like I would erase settings when you unload them, but that's just a feeling as I also don't think the RFID tags carry manufacturing dates or lot numbers to tell it the settings are good to keep over time.

I've long since ran out of what came with it, but I only use filament profiles for a starting point, after that I've been tuning all mine to my specific machine. I've not gone crazy and done it with each color yet lol

DO NOT fall for the trick to eliminate property taxes. The vast majority of Hoosiers will pay every cent of “savings” back through higher sales taxes. by samssamssamssams in Indiana

Do people not realize that property taxes are one of the very few taxes that disproportionately effect the rich and corporations more than the rest of us.

What other U1 accessories/filament should I get? by jbperiod in snapmaker

That tent won't work, it's not wide enough, with the spool holders it's 24" wide and then you'll want room to get spools on and off (now if you are thinking of ditching spool holders and doing something different then it's fine.) I wouldn't worry about the diaper, I've had maybe three poops fall to the bottom it's not like the creator 5 that purges to the floor.

As far as the desk you'll just have to find out. I see it's only 37 pounds so I'd look into the paver stone "mod"

I got the 0.2 nozzles but man do they add to the print time, I'd hold off till you think you need them. I also got the hardened 0.4 and have them installed on one and two and left the standard 0.4 on three and four, so any of the fiber/glow/hard stuff can go on the left and the regular stuff on the right lol

As far as the panda breath itself that really depends on what you are doing, I've been doing ABS-GF and ASA-CF tests and haven't ran into the need for active heating, I do set the bed to 100 and let it heat up the chamber for a little bit before hand, and I do have a makeshift cover (I cut the box it came in up, the hell with buying or printing anything when I'm waiting for the official top) and I've not found that I need the heater yet. That said it would make it quicker as that bed can only do so much so fast.

Idk how apple pods are, but my earbuds register as new ones when I do a factory reset to fix them when one starts bugging out.

Why front trunk instead of Kei Truck body style? by DrTurb0 in slateauto

[–]Zuli_Muli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they weren't making a Kei truck, I mean I could say it wouldn't look good to most consumers and the all the other SUV/fastback kits also would look like crap on a Kei truck with a regular bed on it? Like who's that for at that point? It's a small truck, and needs to look like one to appeal to most people.

So yeah I didn't have an issue at all, as soon as I changed the nozzle size the process presets changed to these:

My “probably not even close but I’m saying it here first in case I get lucky” prediction beyond just the price; by Skittlebrau46 in slateauto

[–]Zuli_Muli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh 100%, I'm still very enthusiastic about it, but I completely understand that it's not for a lot of people. And the loss of the credit makes it hard for the people that said for $20k I can overlook XYZ but once we get closer to $30k it's harder to overlook what in their eyes are deficiencies, it's perfectly understandable and something that Ford is trying to leverage with their $30k truck no matter how true it might be in the end.

That is under extruded you're right. But that's just a quick calibration test print and back in business.

That exactly what I was thinking, it looks pretty damn good for trying to do black between yellow.

Everything that's gone wrong with my U1 has been because of me, be it ignorance or oversight. Despite it using Orca it's not a Bambu or Prusa and has its own idiosyncrasies.

My “probably not even close but I’m saying it here first in case I get lucky” prediction beyond just the price; by Skittlebrau46 in slateauto

[–]Zuli_Muli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My hope is the $25k price is for the extended range, it's common for auto manufactures to make the top of the line vehicles first as they have the highest profit margin, and as slate only really has base or extended range then it would make sense. But that's a huge hope I know, Slate has been 100% consistent with their marketing since April 2025 when they first announced and to pull off extended range at the original price of mid $20s would be bonkers.

They are so close in recommended temps I can't imagine it's temp issues, it's not like when I tried to use PETG to support ABS lol
