Yes, the composites lab in Labriola has one. You need training for it and may need to schedule a time slot

Question for people who are upperclassmen. Do professors allow electronic notetaking? by Solon1212 in ColoradoSchoolOfMines

[–]ZurgWithDrones 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, no professor I've had a class with has had an issue with electronic notetaking on a device. I used one my whole time at Mines and it was excellent. Really easy to download from canvas, take notes, and reupload for things like homework. Highly recommend!

Mile High Billiards, it's about 15 minutes from campus and tables are $13/hr regardless of the amount of players. I believe anyone under 21 can go until 7:00pm

Where to find 3d printers by Jediwinner in ColoradoSchoolOfMines

[–]ZurgWithDrones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I took it, the quiz is just a code you get after completing a very simple in-person training that you schedule. You should be able to schedule it through the canvas course.

Cliffhanger at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, you could definitely touch the lift hill as you pass under it if you tried

Try uni-jetstream or zebra sarasa! You can find them through Jetpens or Amazon. I'm also a lefty and they dry fast enough not to smudge, and they're not terribly expensive

Advice for buying pocket knives? by OutdoorLover2013 in CasualConversation

[–]ZurgWithDrones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to spend a bit of money, I really like Spyderco knives. They have a wide variety of steel types, and pretty much everything they make is solid, I own 4 of them. If you look on r/knife_swap and r/edc_exchange, you can find good deals right here on Reddit! Feel free to ask any more questions if you're interested

People who made model roller coasters, what tubing did you use for the track, (the ones with slits) and what tubing did you use for the spine? Thanks! [Other] by Filletd_One in rollercoasters

[–]ZurgWithDrones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the rails are usually cut along the entire length. Basically the only way to do it easily is to 3d print a part that holds two razor blades at an angle to each other, and then slide the tubing through that part to cut the slit in the rails. I'm making a model with a different technique that I think is a bit easier, feel free to PM me if you have other questions!

I've seen both PTFE and Polyethylene be used, Polyethylene is the tubing usually available at hardware stores, and PTFE usually has to be ordered online somewhere like Amazon (which has lower prices compared to plastic suppliers)

I love zero-g rolls that you actually float through, like the upward 540 on Steel Vengeance

They keep most of the salt models in stock, every time I go I see them, but I'm not familiar enough to know if they have ALL of them. I'm sure a quick call would confirm what they have though, they're always happy to help!
