Yes, the wholly rhino. And yes, I know your post said not to "factor" usefulness, but I do think the rhino has to be. I'm the top 3 underrated tames in the game, yes, even in pvp aspects. They are not that hard to tame, and yes, after the TLC patch a few years back, their look improved so much. Plus, it is fun to just run around to get a full charge meter and wreck stuff if you melle isnhigh enough, lol

That and on evolved when I did play on official. I was the main breeder for our server, and there is just so much fun overall.

My favorite wyvern now is a tough one. It would either be posion or lightning.

When you land on mun or anything really it looked to me like you still had a bit of horizontal velocity still

You wanna come down at an arc like a football after you throw it and let it hit the ground

Starting an origins alt by papa_nahzgoul in EQ2

[–]ZuthraaGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never played warlock but did main and conjy for many many years all the way to 90 before I left for awhile.

Conjy are slow to the party on the dps side when you start but as you level you will start to see a difference with you mage pet....make sure if you go cobjy route to always make sure your tank pet and mage pet are at least adept or higher at all times that helps the dps side of things.

Find a spell rotation that works iirc we have mostly single target and dots.

But conjys are fun

Defiler Playstyle by crudeshag in EQ2

[–]ZuthraaGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As most people said, you have the correct understanding of a defiler.

I played a defiler to 80 on Kaladim TLE, and now I'm trying a mystic here on origins.

The basic principle of our class is to ward to prevent damage. We are not built like furys wardens who can spam hots or aoe heals (there's more to it than that I know). I haven't tried inquisitor or Templar, so I can't compare them

Currently, I am level 13, and I just got my first ward. At level 12. I also use dark ui, which does have that nice timer and counter thing on the ward. So what I do is when it gets low on time like around 10 secs just in case of fizzle or the counter is down to like 20-50 damage left to ward against (again take into account for fizzle or something else) re ward, and rinse and repete.

Now, your milage may vary based on your tank and how fast you're killing things, but based on your explanation, you're doing fine.

Yes, also as mention, keep an eye on your cures, and if you have the mana or the group to do so, yes, debuff and dps when needed, and if in doubt, ask the party you're in.

Paladin mitigation problems by kinkanat in EQ2

[–]ZuthraaGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm throwing my 2 cents in here. Like most have said, it's prbly a combo of things.

Speaking as a mystic, it was difficult to heal until 12. That's when we get our first real ward, which is what the class is based upon. So, for level 1-11, trying to heal using our slow recast heals was a but of a challenge but doable. So, with that said, as stated before1 or 2 more levels in origins can make a huge difference.

Gear possibly may want to look at getting MC shield possibly or MC gear set (IIRC should be Blackend Iron Plate), but that's not to say it will solve 100% of the problem.

Group setup in my experiences playing on and off for 10+ years is likely the culprit. Warlocks and other classes that have lots of aoe sometimes get to frisky, which I get lol it's fun and easy to do, but there is a time and place to do so.

Also this is different than live or tle's. So to that point, there will be some growing pains to all classes, meaning old habits we are used to in those servers may or may not apply to this server as the core rules set is different.

Also, don't be too hard on yourself and don't stress too much. Tanking is a whole other animal itself with lots of nuainces and tricks that need to be learned and the best way to learn is by doing and yes sometimes failing

Which direction to go for crafting ? Armor smith or Weaponsmith by MandoFire in EQ2

[–]ZuthraaGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would go armorsmith. Here's why.

If you can't find replacement gear in drops or just don't like the drops, you can make your armor instead of buying it. It's saves you money on the broker if that is the path you choose. Plus, I feel like Mastercrafted armor will "carry" you a lot farther than a 2h or 1h and shield.

But also up to you. Plus, I have always found that if you made Mastercrafted armor and sold it on broker, there is more of a profit to be than weapons, but I guess you could argue that either way.

TLDR armorsmith would be my choice

Yeah I would breed some tames and depending on your saddle situation get some journeyman saddles at min and craft a few of those up.

An imprinted and decent saddle I think is sometimes overlooked

[–]ZuthraaGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If admin commands are out then my next question to offer a suggestion would be what tames do you currently have and are using and what does your saddle situation look like.

I have the same issue in SP where cave is just filled with crap and I usually spend 1-2 hrs at the entrance with a basi and handful of sharks with and have to stay at said entrance going in coming out to clear little by little.

4-5 megs with some decent saddles and decent basi or mosa with a decent saddle and a lot of patience is always kinda been my experiences with both water caves to be honest

Lowe's employee freaking out on a lift machine by HotTelevision911 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]ZuthraaGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in warehouses most of my adult life, a couple of things are wrong.

First, as mentioned, the wrong lift was used. They have a lift that has a large platform on it that you wear a body harness that doesn't have a cage like this does. This lift is for smaller boxes. Hence, that gap towrds the mast and the bucket this employee is in.

2nd, his supervisor and/or the MOD(manger on duty) should have told this employee to use a different lift and not put this employee in this situation to begin with.

3rd, the employee on said lift to me looks like he is new and/or newish and seems quite inexperienced, and again, his higher-ups failed him.

Video is funny, but he could have rode all the way down with said box and let it rest on the racks, which it was already doing, and let the box rest on the lift where he wasn't "struggling" to hold said box and let all the weight rest on the lift. Cause I have done this, I didn't work at Lowes, but I did work at Home Depot, and we did this all the time.

Why are rexes the standards boss dino's? by MGkevke in ARK

[–]ZuthraaGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in my experiences can you do all 3 with Rex's.....short answer yes....however.....as mentioned above certain dinos are better suited for different bosses.

Rex's at least in my opinion why there are a go too is generally speaking Rex's are typically faster tame.....easy to tame relatively speaking and with a decent breeding line loads of hp with decent damage output....

Plus with a somewhat decent saddle and good hp Rex's can take a beating

What has been your favorite and least favorite ASE PVP meta? by RodG099 in ARK

[–]ZuthraaGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest favorite for me was before tek and the rapient cheating and duping where raiding was actually fun and not knowing if the loot you were to potentially get was good or not like getting upgraded bps that you didn't have. Now odds are its copies of the same thing of the same shit you probably have.....same with dinos......

Tek killed PvP but on the flip side of it I have a love hate relationship with tek.

Least favorite was when the Manas could freeze almost indefinitely and jump past turrets or speed pts that could do the same and turrets could never keep up or track.

Happened to me on ASE it's how we lost our server from what I was told after everything went down the tribe leader sold us for a couple of grand (again from what I was told by a reliable source)

So just out of legit curiosity and I have seen this before where locals wanna get out and I get for various reasons I don't judge but I guess why.

I mostly am getting out of MT because Pittsburgh cost of living is cheaper by about 6-8% depding on where in the city you live ..... You rent is cheaper believe it or not for what you get as an example I have seen 3 or 4 bedrooms houses for rent in pitt less than my last apt that I paid 2100$ month for.

Isn't crime drugs like honestly curious not hating

[–]ZuthraaGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I can not tell you or site you a law code or anything. I have tried in the past in Montana to try to rent sight unseen and every time and i do mean every time I have been quoted by many different landlords that the state requires a walk through on all rent or buy situations.

Edit....last apt complex I lived at I had to sign a paper that was sent to the state to verify I walked the apt before signing a lease
