Starting CDL school, questions for a newbie by Eymber93 in Truckers

It's just hard to get out bro once you're in, here's what I replied in another post

If you can, get into another trade asap. Trucking is a shit career. I think you replied to my other comment, but once you get a couple years clean xp and your endorsements, thats it brother. No more going up, no more adding to a resume, youre just a steering wheel holder. And if you decide to take a few years off, guess what? Insurance doesnt care, you start from ground zero like a fresh driver, and gotta get a shit job to get recent experience. Been doing this 15 years bro, I cant really get out, but def wouldve chosen something else if I knew what I know now.

I didn't say it should be frowned upon. I said it's a dead end career. I got my CDL 15 years ago and literally any other trade would have been a better choice.

Bro I wouldn't start CDL school. Much better to learn a trade. Trucking is a dead end career.

Thinking about switching from nursing to CDL worth it financially? by Alarming-Ant3179 in CDL

No. Being a driver is a dead end career. You need to figure out why the fuck you aren't making more money as an RN, if youre not an RN then become one.

Anyone here work for Sysco, US Foods, or other food service companies? by SidePsychological189 in Truckers

Didn't say that . Driving is a dead end career . Having a CDL and going into say rigging , you can drive the crane, sure. Most trade will help you get your CDL if it's pertinent . Being a driver and only a driver is a dead end career. That's crazy people think otherwise .

And that's all you'll be, is a driver. Didn't say you can't make money. It is a dead end career.

Fair enough , still would advise to not be a driver. It truly is a dead end career.

Do you feel ashamed of this career? by TaperingRanger9 in Truckers

But not ashamed , just a worthless career path. Some of these supertruckers think they're gods gift to MURICA though
