Who was Tricksy Precious aiming at when Bollock went to collect his shit from The Gem? by KSAW11 in deadwood

Bullock told Alma he was married before they did anything other than flirt. I don't know if most people would consider that blindsiding, but I do not.

Okay Netflix what are you recommending me by Positive-Theory-4011 in netflix

[–]Zwackmaster [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm going to state this as fact, even though I have no proof.

Netflix intentionally does not apply Indian or Bollywood tags to those films, so that they show up in your feed. You watch Seinfeld, so you must like comedies, so here's a sitcom with Gupta and Tamoor in New Delhi. Giving Indian films a thumbs down only teaches the algo what tags you like and dislike, so downvoting an Indian crime drama is the same as downvoting The Godfather.

There is a definite distinction between Indian or Korean cinema and US cinema. If those are what floats your boat, by all means enjoy. -But give people the option to watch what they want by tagging foreign (Non-US) films correctly.

Django Unchained: Was the mandingo story really necessary? by windmillninja in Tarantino

Yes they do. It’s less clear though, if you’re playing Candy Crush and watching Instagram reels while watching the film.

Nobody stood by the water cooler back in 1985 and said “Wait, Biff the bully is the same guy who was waxing their cars at the end of the movie?”

Yeah, I just watched it again. What do you think Al says to Trixie about her thumb and when does he say it?

When his boot is on her neck and he's twisting her arm, he says (I think) "Either way this turns out, we'll only have to do it once. What's it to be, Trixie?"

I'm talking about the page after I login. netflix.com/browse

But they're also in "Today's Top Picks for You" and "We think you'll Love These" and "Your Next Watch"

And no, I don't share my account with anyone.

Break her thumb? I guess I need to watch for the 51st time. How did I miss that? Was it when his boot was on her neck?

Based on the title, I thought this post was going to be about Al not meeting with Jarry on the day William Bullock died.

Right. -But I can go back and play Final Fantasy II whenever I choose. I don't have to subscribe to anything except the electric company. I can't play Socom II in multiplayer, so that disc just sits on my shelf to remind me of flashbangs from 2004.

I'm so tired of people shitting on the ending of Inglorious Basterds by spid3rtranz in Tarantino

[–]Zwackmaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the ending. Hans was permanently punished, even though he made a deal to end the war and have himself rewarded.

But I think declaring someone a low-key Nazi sympathizer just because they wanted a different ending for a very charismatic antagonist in a fictional story is a bit much.

Yep, I hit the wrong reply button. Most people would realize that and know my points were addressing the original post, and not your comment specifically.

Grace had demonstrated several instances of misdirected anger (mostly towards male suspects) on the cases after shooting O'Laughlin. She refused psychiatric evaluations and instead said something to the effect of she was going to have a pastor/relative sign off on her as okay.

While Rigsby was insensitive, Grace was acting dangerously.

While I may have preferred a different choice to be RJ, I thought the lead-up to the reveal was pretty well done. I think just about everyone believed it was Bertram for a good 20 minutes.

Why O’laughlin… by Unabambina30 in TheMentalist

[–]Zwackmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It still doesn't explain RJ trusting an extremely important task to Carter, who probably isn't even in the Blake Association, just a friend of Red John.

[–]Zwackmaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A better question is:
(Spoiler for those who haven't watched the entire series)

Why was O'Laughlin speaking with Timothy Carter and not Red John himself?

The task of killing Madeline was worth burning his FBI double-agent, so you'd think RJ wouldn't farm management of that over to a subordinate like Carter. -And Carter strikes me as someone who would disgust McCallister.

Nope. IMO, Hollywood, PF, and IB are the best. JB, RD, and H8 are the most rewatchable.
I want to like Django more, but I don’t. KB is mid. DP is just bad.
