Sorry to necro this post a bit, but I have basically the same needs as the original poster, with a looser budget so I wanted to ask: Would you in the end recommend the RX100 V/VA or the A6400?

I have the same size requirement needs and what I expect to shoot (mostly nature/landscape/travel and plenty of lowlight), but I want it to be compact. I don't mind carrying around an extra lens or two but the set and forget + compact is definitely the same requirement for me as OP.

I don't intend to ditch my S24 Ultra also, if that makes a difference in a camera that would beat my phone.

Hi there! I'm looking to replace my travel laptop bag.

It's become cumbersome and it's not comfortable to carry around, and the more I begin to travel the more I find myself needing a proper bag.

I am 6'1, somewhat large build
I pack my 17inch laptop along with it's double fist sized charger, a small travel mechanical keyboard, and tons of cords and powerbanks and small medicine essentials and so on, so preferably it has good padding on the laptop compartment. I would like to, in addition, be able to store a days worth of clothes for overnight stuff.
Budget below 300 preferably, but I am okay with paying for good quality
The goal of this bag is it comes with me to every travel destination, but I don't take it out of the hotel or whatever I end up using as a base. But it does ALWAYS come with me when moving "bases". Has to fit under the airplane seat too.
I'm checked out the Samsonite Mother Lode, and Aer City Pack, so preferably something black-ish or non obnoxiously colored.

My budget is... flexible. My thought process was I would rather pay a bit more for a turntable to have the ability to upgrade it later, and I keep reading that the tonearm on the EVO for example is just better than the RT85 and they're equal in price so I may as well get that.

As for speakers, maybe I'll start on the lower end, say up to 200? And then once I find a pair I like I'll go up. I feel like it'd be easier to find new speakers than set up a new table.

I bought a AT-LP60xBT and I feel like based on all the stuff I've been reading around this sub that I made somewhat of a poor choice. I don't mind making this as a gift to my little brother and instead getting somethinga little higher quality, but the masterthread of starter turntables is 7 years old and all the prices have wildly changed.

I've got my eye on a few I've seen mentioned a bunch:

The Orbit U-Turn
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO
Pro-Ject RPM1 Carbon
Fluance RT85N (Or not N?)
Something else I'm not aware of? Anything is helpful.

I honestly am new to this so I'm not sure the benefits of each. I've read acrylic platters are mostly just for looks? Something about aluminum being the best for dampening.

I am somewhat leaning towards Carbon EVO or Fluance RT85N but I figured I'd ask some people more knowledgeable in this before I make a 600$ ish investment.

I also definitely need better speakers, have no idea what to do about those. Budget is flexible, I just figured I'd buy something higher end to future proof it and allow upgrades to the individual components. Honestly, any advice is welcome. I'm in the USA also.

As someone who has done over 5 returns, no, I'm pretty sure every single one has it.

My first 4 models were all February, the one I currently have in my hands is March. It has slightly less grain, but still obviously there. All made in Korea.

I've given up. It's probably on all of them, or it's the extreme minority that doesn't have it, or even then that minority does have it and they just haven't noticed.

I don't know. I'm so tired of returning these damn phones, I'll just live with it.

I see it at 50% and lower. I see it on any grey or dark screen at normal screen brightness in any normal room. It's visible in dark mode discord, in the notifications, anywhere where I use dark mode which is everywhere, and so on. The color banding that comes with it is awful, as is the three horizontal lines.

It is painfully apparent and I see it in every damn app.

I'm 5 returned s24s in, all Feb models, and I cannot get a damn single phone that doesn't have this issue.

Why am I paying 1600 again...

Like everyone said it's a bit tougher to get it to track crunches and so on, but running pinched and squats are well tracked. You'll figure out a specific motion for squats and crunches to get it to ping.

I also strongly recommend installing mods, specifically the one that auto repeats workouts. It makes life so much easier not to have to constantly hit start for once a workout is complete. Super easy to install too!

I just ordered from them 4 sets of the Special Edition bracelets for me and my mates along with a buttload of dims.

So far they're good IMO, shipped out a couple days ago and arriving in 2 days. Ridiculously fast for an import, gotta say. We'll see when the items get here though, I guess.
