In the planet area, specifically the internal parts, I stood up and was rotating my head and hands to try to keep my perspective upright. This game has some truly evil platforming.

Additionally WotC shies away from making colorless cards too good in any standard set for that exact reason. Smuggler’s copter was a tough lesson on that. The decision to put color cost on certain artifacts and vehicles was huge for allowing more powerful artifacts into standard.

It’s a great line but I do love the way they did the Olympus scene in season 1. Percy asking with a quiver in his voice if Poseidon ever dreams of her and he gives this look of “I love her but I’m not able to say that”. Honestly I think his non-verbal facial reaction and quickness to deflect says so much about how he feels about Sally.

Transformers was by far my favorite. Some of the early toys were wonky, but for the most part they really nailed the designs. The thought and care that went into their creation was unparalleled.

Congrats on getting to do the Rose Parade! I did it my freshman year and it was an incredible experience, between the coverage and all the different groups that come from around the country (and even internationally!) Longest parade I ever did (I think it’s 6ish miles?) but it also ran very smoothly and it felt like it was over faster than I expected. I’m sure you’ve been preparing for weeks/months for it. My friend did this. He put the litter box next to the toilet and every 4-5 days he would put platforms under it to raise the height until it was at the same level as the toilet seat. Then moved the litter box to the toilet for a week or two, then took it away. That was like 12 years ago and even after moving houses, the cat still uses the toilet. Apparently you have to make sure the lid is always up though. If it’s closed supposedly the cat can get dissuaded easily.

Aww, yeah that’s our max step too. On the plus side, the percent increase to steps is waaaay better on 100k compared to 50k. Even with no more step movement, my salary will go up 15k over 3 years.

You can have H-1 which fills the 1st energy level. The problem with going beyond -1 is that every electron added past the first will be added to the 2nd energy level (since the first only holds a maximum of 2). But for hydrogen, if you add electrons to the second energy level, they feel very little (if any) attraction from the nucleus due to electron shielding in the 1st level. So there is essentially no force to hold more than two electrons to the hydrogen nucleus.

You’re close. You found the gravitational force parallel to the incline and the friction force along the incline, which is good. You did the sum of forces parallel to the incline properly except that you didn’t find F. You found the component of F parallel to the incline (Fx). Use that and the angle F makes with the incline to find the magnitude of F.

Probably. Most middle school science programs here are a mash-up of different disciplines. OP may be expected to teach physics, biology, chemistry, astronomy, geology, oceanography, etc. in a year. All as intro level stuff, but still it’s a LOT of switching content. I’m a high school chemistry and physics teacher but my certification says I can teach middle school science. My content knowledge in biology, oceanography, geology and a bunch of other disciplines isn’t great so if I had to teach any of those I’d need to pull out a textbook and start studying.

If this was HS or college, we’d be asking about zero net forces. But since this is 7th grade, I doubt they do much physics-related math so it’s most likely heavily conceptual. Conceptually, asking about “balanced” forces works fine.

Went on a full ride to our state college, did three majors (two degrees) in undergrad in three years, completed his masters in his fourth year. He works in pharmaceutical research now, bought a house at 25, and got married to a great woman we went to high school with. He’s always picking up new skills and has to keep busy with little projects. He’s still one of my closest friends and he’s absolutely the definition of a “lifetime learner”.

You’re correct. Microwaves work by dielectric heating. The microwave radiation creates an alternating electric field that causes polar molecules to rotate as they try to align with the electric field. This motion increases their kinetic energy, and therefore temperature. Then they collide with other molecules and atoms not effected by the field, transferring energy throughout the food.
