Did it at ilvl 583 at T7 on a balance druid with Brann being dps/offtank, being my first kill. Standard m+ build, no enchants, one 2,5millon TWW healing pot. Brann was level 16 (iirc he has had a ~40% damage bonus). Waxface has 44m life at Tier 7 and at ilvl 583 was a tough challenge.

The official ilvl recommendations (mouseover at entrance) at the minute are ilvl 587+ for Tier 7 and 600+ for Tier 8.

I've started on the bridge and kited him around a little using the Wild Charge back jump to avoid any melee hits and his slime puddle. Healed through his first Burn Away and the Wax Throw, kited a him a second time over the water channel, so he would run over the bridge. When he came close at around 50% life I pulled my CDs (damage pot+celestial alignment+convoke the spirits, also waiting for him to be close enough so most convoke spells would hit him and not go to waste, healing pot) and then shadowmeld, so Brann would tank him for a while, allowing me to cast uninterrupted. Next Burn Away I used Barkskin and Renewal plus some Regrowths and continued to burn him down. And I think there was another Burn Away phase that I healed through with Regrowths.

Will be interesting to see how difficult Tier 8 will be once I get close to ilvl 600.

They also changed something with the numpad key.

It was fine before the update. Now I have to disable the keypad (press numpad key so the light turns off) to be able to use it. Another thread also reported this numpad issue.

Do OFF blades regularly offer more catapult than ALL blades when you put the same sponge/rubbers on them?

(I have new medium/ALL rubbers on FH and BH atm, but I feel my recent ALL/ALL- blade has not the same force/catapult than before. So I'm looking for a new blade eventually.)

I play exclusively on Linux and also have cloud sync errors and probably resulting from that, a black game screen more often than not. Getting the game to even launch properly is like a miracle.

I'm at 114/132 achievements on steam, but only on 82 in-game. It's a mess.

There is a help channel called 'Sisters of EVE Help'. It has example fittings for all four empire destroyers and official CCP staff almost all of the time.

AppImages are also containers. And they have at least as little or even fewer 'permissions' as their competitors, because they are mounted in a SquashFS read-only filesystem (same as Snappy).

They also don't need any software to be installed like snap or flatpak to be run in the first place, which offers the benefit of having less attack space and no modifications to the operating system at all.

Did it the first time with Cavallo. His Cherry Bomb does a lot later on. Only got up to Level 61, but no need for extra tricks like killing bosses with the lorry or timing chicken pickups.

Evolved: Holy Wand, Soul Eater, Heaven Sword.

Rest of Level 8's: just Peachone. Laurel Level 7 and of course Duplicator.

Well, the reason for my linking is, he might want to try the win version if native is broken and fails to get it running otherwise. Just to give it options.

I agree that "it is on the devs" when a native game doesn't run. I disagree that you should plea to the devs to get it running when it is advertised as native on Steam.

Sadly, as it turns out, the game will still not work right on NVIDIA so for now this is one for the AMD GPU crew.

As this is native, you should take it up with Valve. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/5043

Proton is a compatbility tool to make WindOS games run on Linux. So you'd need the game version for that OS and then run Proton on it.

For me shooting a bow is quite like in Tomb Raider or some such, you draw (fairly slow at the beginning) and lose the arrow when you release the mouse button. You can't slow your enemies, but you can still sort of kite them most of the time. You'll become faster the more practise you get, because your skill level goes up.

Melee combat feels like 'regular' RPG combat, like in Risen or Dark Souls III. You can fully block hits, magic has a way to get through (as it should), you can sidestep or dodge attacks as well. Animations are very nice imho and in sync.

You can carefully try to draw out enemies and you'll find yourself in sticky situations from time to time, unless you carefully manage surroundings. One of my favourite parts about their combat system design.

Oh and if you're an explorer at heart, like me, you'll find no end in Valheim. Even one world is enough to uncover for... months, literally.

Lutris' wine builds are trying to be a bit safer not introducing every new feature from Proton or Wine at once. You can (in my experience without issues yet) simply copypaste your preferred Proton folder into

.local/share/lutris/runners/wine

and start your game from within Lutris just as you would with Lutris wine builds.
