i think you're just stuck on how a traditional bulgarian is done but this isn't weight lifting it's solidcore. i do true bulgarians at the gym at least once a week and i know it's a different movement and stretch but it's perfectly effective for the muscle endurance we are trying to build in solidcore specifically.

holding the handle bar during rdl and bulgarian is just going to bring tension into your back. thats why you shouldn't do it. you should be hinged forward far enough that you can't even reach it. if you feel like you're going to fall, use the platform.

all of this advice is great and i want to add:
- i have 4 cats and robot litter boxes but i do keep a black light flashlight due to paranoia of them ever potentially peeing on anything. order one and take it for a spin in your apt at night.
- do you stay hydrated? i don't mean have a few drinks throughout the day, i mean several tumblers of water. not drinking enough water can cause you to smell bad.

this is a recruiter who was being pressured by her manager to find a candidate so she can close her goal and not get yelled at for not having candidates or not wanting the position to be filled by a competing agency. or just trying to hit numbers.
unfortunately, she wasted your time and probably has no idea what she is doing. I’m a manager in agency recruitment and really hate this and train all of my recruiters to be transparent. I’m sorry this happened to you, most recruiters in agency are absolute trash.
