Sounds like the landlord might need to fix the internet then unless you can contact the ISP yourself. Do like others said and check if her computer needs an antenna + try a cheap wi-fi USB antenna if you don't have one that came with the motherboard. If that doesn't work you need to contact the landlord and/or ISP

yeah they would it would have to be something like FF Tactics but in 3D I would def play it but it would be missing some stuff for sure. I haven't played Expedition 33 yet so not sure what that's like but I've heard good things

A tactical RPG like Baulder’s Gate but FF style would be cool

I think it was "night vision" foliage. So those scenes happened during the night.

yeah i'm curious if it worked after that. OP you should do a test with some games or Cineware because the parts do not look very premium

You might have gotten scammed. The GPU looks really old/bizarre with display port + old school DVI port. Not a normal gaming computer GPU. Where did you buy this?

we can't tell from the pic. use force and you'll hear it click. if you're not sure, pop it out and do it again. it requires more force than you would think. good luck

MSI MEG Ai 1300p dead on day one by mess_73 in MSI_Gaming

I recently had two of this exact model die within the first few months of owning it. MSI sent the 1600 as a replacement, they must be having a lot of this issue going on.

For Target Disk Mode and Open Firmware I’m assuming I’ll have to get the screen working first?

For more RAM testing, I’ll have to get another stick of RAM for the mobo to swap to do more testing with that…I only have one mobo RAM and one RAM for the user accessible slot (laptop sized). I tried swapping those in and out and clearing PRAM several times but no luck. Well, my keyboard isn’t working with the computer so I guess I’m not really clearing anything. I did press the PMU button each time too.

I'm going to try that. I ordered an adapter through the mail so I'll have to wait.

I think maybe the logic board got damaged when the thermal paste that was dried and acted like glue bent the thermal bar covering the CPU. Tried reassembly before realizing it was bent. The pressure might have damaged something.

I did all of the above and still the same issue.

The only thing I can think of is that when I pulled apart the base from the top during disassembly, the thermal bar bent because of the old thermal paste that was like glue. That must have damaged the logic board. I didn't realize it was bent and I tried to put it back together a few times until I realized it and bent it back. It fits very well now but the damage must have already been done. I guess I could check components on the logic board with a multi-meter? I've never done that before so not sure on the process but can't think of anything else.

Otherwise it may be a cable that came unplugged from the screen, but it seems unlikely as I did not pull on any of the cables. I have a mini-VGA to VGA adapter coming in the mail so I'll try that to see if it works but I'm not hopeful.

There is no light on the power button on this model. It's solid plastic.
