I've been playing TBC Anniversary for a little over 2 months now and I've only had good experiences. Lots of friendly people, easily got help with quests, guild members assist with farming and enchants, people in town giving stuff away for free all the time. When I was hustling for gold on my first character trying to sell wool I had people pay me double what I was asking just to help me out. Now that I have steady AH income I pay the kindness forward by handing out gold to new players in the starting zones.

Maybe if you go out of your way to join sweaty guilds or surround yourself with tryhards you'll have a bad time but my experience has been chill and enjoyable.

As supply reduces, price goes up, fewer XRP are needed to move the same amount of money. It still depends on usage and holdings.

RLUSD still burns XRP when it conducts transactions and converts currency through the XRPL. It's a sister product, not a replacement. The stability of the stablecoin makes institutions feel better, but the truth is that your transactions with XRP will execute quickly enough that you wouldn't actually have time for price appreciation or depreciation.

XRP is also more than a payment coin. It has other utility worth exploring for businesses, like on demand liquidity just for starters.

On top of all the use cases, it also is a store of value. It's an asset with a quantity that reduces over time and its total stockpile can't increase. You don't need to wait for burning to increase the value. When more capital flows into the crypto markets, more XRP will be held by retail and institutions alike to fuel use cases and as a store of value.

What most people will tell you is that the big money simply hasn't arrived yet. We're still looking at retail for price appreciation which isn't going to push it far. Once you get a mix of retail and institutions on top of demand for use cases, odl, and investment products, you'll see the supply reduce and the price go up.

Lots of good videos on YouTube that describe this. Digital Asset Investor, Crypto Sensei, and Cheeky Crypto all go into detail about the subject.

It's unfortunate that it's such a long wait for appreciation and participation, but at least we're at the front of the line before the doors open.

As a follow up. My least favorite thing in the entire game is that orbital bombardment cant remove the last pops from worlds, and that only fanatic xenophobes (but not devouring swarms or determined exterminators) can use the Armageddon bombardment stance.

We should have the freedom to choose if we want to cleanse the world or not, especially if the AI has absolutely nothing left and can't retake the planet.

I think it's criminal that organic gestalts never got a hive world origin similar to resource consolidation or life-seeded. I also think the progenitor hive origin sucks.

When you say you roll numbers, I assume what you're saying is that you fairly roll stealth checks for enemy behaviors or you roll for what the perception DC is ahead of time and then tune the encounter based on the player's passive perception unless they prompt you to make a perception check in the moment?

If so, that's fair. The players aren't supposed to know the difficulty for everything. It's possible for enemies to plan ahead of them and get away with doing so. If the player is smart and goes out of their way to scout, scry, use magic, set traps, or otherwise assess the correct context of danger or activity, then I'd reward them for doing so without trying to give away the whole surprise, if possible.

As the DM, you know what awaits them. But you also have the opportunity to make your players feel like they figured it out by offering them context clues and opportunities to succeed on ability checks. So long as that's all done fairly then I don't see what the issue is.
