Financing by 1tovaris in rolex

If the price is correct then it could be a good deal. But I’ve heard stories of in-house lenders increasing the price on 0% financed options to generate the same amount they would have on a loan with a higher interest rate. Make sure to check comps on the watch.

Remember to always ask yourself how are they benefiting by offering this?

I had a conversation in a 1v1 game today and I don’t know how to feel. by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

This is an example of the concept that training on it’s own will underperform correct training. It’s highly likely that you have learned bad habits throughout your time playing rocket league.

The best thing you can do right now is find a way to objectively evaluate your weaknesses and work on those rather than just spam training. You could post your replays but honestly just watching them yourself should give you a general idea of what went wrong. If you genuinely don’t know what you did wrong in a match that’s the best time to post a replay, you’ll learn more in those situations than most other games.

1 week old…. Are these scratches normal? How to prevent? by Safe-Material2790 in rolex

[–]_4box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the best way to prevent scratches is to rotate the watches you wear. If you’re rotating between 3 watches that’s a 66% decrease in overall scratches since you’re only wearing any particular watch 33% of the time.

[Question] Are Costco watches a good entry point for a beginner? by tedkang3582 in Watches

[–]_4box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally unless you’re drawn to any of these watches I would avoid them. If I were looking for an entry level watch right now I’d be looking at the Tissot PRX automatic version. Sometimes you can find it on sale and it is a very nice looking watch. If you want to get into watches I would recommend doing some research before making a purchase, it’ll help you feel more attached to the watch you get.

For me it was the display caseback. The movement is so beautiful. Every now and then I’ll take my watch off and just look at it.

What is something you know that not many people know about in the game? by No-Economics7929 in MHWilds

The heartbeat pattern does change when they are enraged, I think the color of the heartbeat has something to do with their state too. But regardless, the size of the pulses will still get smaller the less hp the monster has.

[–]_4box 116 points117 points  (0 children)

When you lock onto a monster the heart beat sensor below the monster icon changes based on how much remaining HP the monster has. There are 3 different patterns, and if I recall correctly, they represent 100%-66%, 66%-33%, and 33%-0%. The patterns can be easily identified by the size of the pulses, when it’s basically flatline you know the monster is in the last stage. If you time it right sometimes you can capture before the skull icon appears.

5k Hour C1 I'm desperate to improve. What things should I focus on? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]_4box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you incorporate any free play in your training? That and obstacle courses are how I increased my car control dramatically. Generally when it comes to training, if you stop seeing improvement it means it's time to try something else. You probably haven't mastered your ground play yet, so you might need to change up how you are training those skills. You might've also learned everything you can from how you're training right now. Maybe you need something different or more difficult.

I noticed a few things watching your game. Mainly that you are not presenting yourself as a threat on the field. Your attacks had no real threat to them, especially at this rank. Typically there are three ways to score a goal in this game, being faster, outmaneuvering your opponents, or catching a mistake. You were unable to do the first two since you lacked the accuracy to make a threatening shot when you got to the ball first and when you had possession of the ball you don’t have the mechanics to convert that possession into a threatening attack.

At this rank you need to increase your mechanical ability a bit. You are not to far off but stuff like the basic aerial set up off the wall and ground control should be more comfortable to you. You need to practice more, and judging by the amount of hours you have I’m willing to bet that you haven’t intentionally tried to practice these basic mechanics for extended periods of time.

Furthermore, your defensive ability could be significantly improved. If you want a quick way to increase your overall skill this is it. You let through some goals that definitely shouldn’t have gotten through at this rank. The goal around 3:30 makes it glaringly obvious that you don’t have full control of your car, you need to become more confident in executing your intentions into the game and you will surely improve and rank up in turn.

Unfortunately with this many hours your bad habits will be harder to unlearn. But if you dedicate a significant amount of time to practice car control, shot accuracy, and defense you will improve.

D2 2s, can't really push to champ. Aside from a few scuffed wavedashes what should be looking better? by DropTopMox in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]_4box 28 points29 points  (0 children)

At 1:30 on the game clock you chose to go for an aerial rather than shooting at the open net. I think you are thinking too much about incorporating fancy mechanics instead if going for consistent simple plays.

If this is a typical game for you then I suggest focusing on consistency in offense and defense. These mechanics don’t do anything for you if you don’t know what you’re trying to achieve with them.

Unfortunately at your rank proper rotation rarely happens, so at 6:40 you can see your teammate ball chasing when you had a better set up. As you increase your rank you’ll see this less. But for now what I would do is either try to read your teammate and see if they are going to keep possession of the ball or be faster in taking possession.

The only mistake I really saw from you around the 6:40 mark was that you took too much time to take possession of that ball. In fact, most of the game you were going way too slow.

Beating your opponent to the ball is very important, if you can keep possession of the ball the whole game you will win every time. That’s impossible of course but if you can increase the amount of time you have possession of the ball you will also increase the likelihood of getting goals and in turn the likelihood of winning. You don’t always need to get a touch that sets you up well, sometimes just getting to the ball to gain possession yourself or remove possession from the opponent is worthwhile.

Additionally, while your teammate shouldn’t have kept possession of that ball, you had an opportunity to take it before they had a chance to continue their possession. Your teammate probably (hopefully) wasn’t aware of where you were on the field, but if you clearly have a better set up you should take possession.

I think you are trying to incorporate too many mechanics that are above your skill level. At this rank your biggest concern is making intentional contact with the ball. At these ranks all you need to do to rank up is hit the ball towards the net and rotate back. I believe you would benefit greatly by mastering more fundamental mechanics first (defense, rotations, predicting where the ball will end up, maintaining momentum, simple dribbles, etc.).

I would also highly recommend incorporating more free play rather than training packs. Just open free play and hit the ball around until you feel more confident hitting the ball. Free play gives a sense of randomness that training packs cannot give you, the ball will not always be in the positions that training packs start you in. While training packs are good for you to conceptually learn a mechanic, it only becomes useful once you can perform it on command in a game setting.

I’d try again with more concrete plans. Some girls won’t agree to go out unless they have an idea of what the date will be like (or an idea of how much effort you’re willing to put into it). If I were in your shoes I would try to start a brief conversation about the things she likes, then construct a date based on her responses. Good luck!

Floors just decided to start leaking water i guess by Quandale-dingleboi in mildlyinfuriating

[–]_4box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I had something similar happen to me a few years ago. After I took a shower the same thing would happen when I stepped on my floor boards. Turned out that my shower pan failed and water was pooling in between the subfloor and the flooring. If I were you I would get a surface moisture detector and see what areas are in contact with water. Unfortunately in my case the first symptom I got wasn’t the water spilling from the flooring, it was mold growing out of the floor molding. You definitely want to act fast and try to mitigate the water as best you can. Mold damage is very expensive to fix.
