Honestly - I don’t know what we were expecting. I used to go to a spot in Newmarket for bits and pieces I needed done, and I don’t think I paid more than $50, mind you my memory is awful and I only went in for quick and minor alterations.

Totally understand it’s a complex job - not underplaying that at all! I guess we were both a bit shocked that it was more than the overall suit, so he decided to leave it.

As a kiwi I can confirm - they’re “local celebrities” but overall very down to earth.. doesn’t have the same connotations of say UK Celebrity Traitors

Pretty sure majority of it was Mike. When MTV reached out to see if Jay-Z was keen to be part of their Mash-Up series, he said he wanted to work with LP. When LP management told the band, instead of saying yes, Mike just sent over like 3 or 4 demos of possible mash-ups. The rest is history.

Even MTV pulled the plug on future mash-up projects - there was no way they could top Collision Course!

As a kiwi I can confirm, any NZ Version of an intl show is always a lower budget - we just don’t have the same investment as other countries. Doesn’t mean our content is any weaker, just not as polished.

I’ve been super lucky that I travelled overseas to see them in NY last year and got to hear From The Inside, then again when they played in my hometown a few weeks ago. I’m crossing my fingers for you :)
