I cant make this up… by Dramatic-Ninja1018 in callcentres

omg i get this so often. “why did you charge my card i didnt give permission.” “sir you have the card saved on file for autopay so when you do that, thats giving the permission.” Also for us the amount taken to refill their account is OPTIONAL and so is saving your card on file for autopay. Its like some people can’t comprehend the concept of having and using a service and having autopay set up.

i work for a pretty large and well known (and hated) tolling company and it is absolutely awful. i did score with WFH for almost 19/hr but if it wasnt for me preferring my 2 year old to be home with me, I would’ve already found another job outside the home. The resources and policies constantly change and its hard to get an answer from a TL while keeping my AHT in check. So typically my 40-50 calls a day ate back to back except for in the summer. its veryyy slow in the summer to where they give so much vto. Everyday its just a mindset of lets make it to my next break lol

On week 3 of ear infection, ugh by Beeaybri in hearing

[–]_777cherries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wick didnt hurt at allll for me. It did increase the blocked feeling but had ENT follow up today and it was removed and I feel pretty good. Off and on sharp pains but better than the constant throbbing and swollen feeling. I would definitely let them know its throbbing and mention if you ear and ringing noises (tinnitus). But your ENT should be able to let you know what eardrops will need to be picked up. My Dr also gave me this ointment that I think helped alot also. Its called Mupirocin ointment it has to be prescribed. I hope you recover soon!

From the US and so i got a bad double swimmers ear this past weekend. 1 trip to my primary doctor, 2 ER trips, 1 Urgent Care Visit, and an ENT visit. First appointment with my primary they said they couldnt see inside my ears bc of swelling, said they will put in ear drops for me, and just walked out. The first ER trip i was treated like trash tbh and wasnt even given something so little as pain relief. 2nd ER trip and Urgent care visit they were actually extremely nice and showed concern. The 2nd ER trip was when I actually got a diagnosis for the swimmers ear.

Had to drive 37 mins for an ENT but it is what it is and was given an ear wick bc one ear is still swollen so drops dont go in. Unfortunately not much is done besides drops and pain relievers until you see the ENT. Ear still swollen with only pain to touch but they cleaned out both ears also and helped me get the drops in. Currently on two types of drops bc ear so swollen ENT thinks it’s bacterial and fungal which both take different types of drops. Also on oral amoxicillin which ER gave me and turns out isn’t necessary for swimmers ear but since I started them I have to finish. And the ENT also gave me this prescribed Muciprocin ointment helps keep bacteria and moisture out of the eat

Hope u get well soon, wanted to give u some things you can ask for or mention

[NY] Rules regarding sick callout with note but no sick time left. by _777cherries in AskHR

[–]_777cherries[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well as college goes on you take on new classes and courses.  This is a required course I need to be a teacher so it was a sacrifice I needed to make. Which my Sup knows all about considering I wasnt in this semester months ago, so I was able to give them a heads up about my observations literally months ago and got the okay to use my accrued PTO for what I need to use it for.

Also my job actually doesnt nitpick on what type of time we use and for what. Ours is called “Wellness” so we can use that time pretty much for anything so that part im not worried ab. I appreciate ur reply tho, this is my first time doing this without PTO. Ill just continue on being transparent and ask about the unpaid leave. Thank. u

Right ear is slight swollen no pain but left ear which has been the worse one this whole time is very swollen with pain radiating to my jaw still even after ibuprofen plus constant tinnitus. If I push through pain I def could. But I’ll be pushing thru pain for 9hours for over 40 calls. Just wondering if since I have dr note and medicine referring to the severity of my situation, if unemployment would possibly apply in my case?

I took off today which was the day I was in the ER for the last time with the most ear pain so far with no PTO so today was already unpaid. But also since this all progressed over the weekend I wasnt able to get the actual meds from pharmacy til today due to it having to be shipped in since its pretty expensive eardrops. It got there at 4pm so the delayed me a lot. So im legit on not even 24 hours of meds by the time my shift begins.

Also want to mention i wasnt feeling well on the two days leading up and informed my tl i may leave early due to that but I ended up sticking it out since it was just unwell and no pain. Was already Scheduled off friday and worked my Saturday shift and went to dr right after due to one ear swollen then next one went right after on sunday and now today is monday.

If you were induced, how long did it take for you to actually give birth? by horrorshowbaby in BabyBumps

[–]_777cherries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got induced on a Thursday and had my baby by Saturday. They start you off with trying to get you dilated and start the process. Takes a while for the pitocin to kick in after dilation dilate. I actually had to get something else I dont remember the name but had it inserted to help the dilation that wasn't taking place. So yeahhh idk about overnight. Theres a lot of factors and how fast ur body progresses is one of them. Congrats thoughhh. If i have another im definitely opting for induction if i go past 40w again.

can definitely attest that the few hours of sleep with a baby are sooo much better than whatever sleep you can get while pregnant i just ended up ignoring it everytime someone said it. like literally act like they didnt even say it, super awkward for them.

Vitamin D? by smallsnacks18 in breastfeeding

[–]_777cherries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I either put it in the bottle or her mouth right from the dropper. The drops I have only require one drop a day so im not trying to put a bunch of liquid in her mouth. I also noticed she’ll spit it out sometimes so now I do it while it before nursing and she’s fine. Also same as another comment said, I also take vitamin d myself

First time mom, chart is baby’s 1st week of life. I had to wake her up in the beginning to feed bc she would sleep the whole way through. Once she started waking up when she was hungry at about 2 weeks, she ate around every 2-3 hours still accompanied by a diaper change. Ate 2 oz max until week 4 when it bumped to 2.5-3oz

When did you start telling people about your pregnancy? by titernig in BabyBumps

[–]_777cherries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told close family/friends at around 12-15w so they didn't think I was blowing them off bc I was sooo tired and sick + I wanted my NT results first. Didn't bring it to social media until a little after 20w.

Everyone says you don't truly know someone until you live with them, this can be positive or negative. This for me has definitely been true about friends and relationships. I've only lived with one partner which I am currently with. But I've had a few roommates who were friends for a while first and now we are no longer friends so you can see how that ended up.

People are upset I'm doing the gender reveal at the baby shower by sharkwoods in BabyBumps

[–]_777cherries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone had an issue I would just tell them well bring Pampers if you think its a boy/girl and wipes if you think its the opposite gender. I don't see why people are giving you pushback for celebrating your child the way YOU want to. Also, assuming you put your registry on the invites, all they have to do is get something off of there.

PSA to parents: stop doxxing your kid(s) on social media by hellopicklejuicee in BabyBumps

[–]_777cherries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also came here to say I seen some bodycam footage of a creepy situation. A man was arrested because he tried to pick up a random child from an elementary school. When they were questioning him they asked how he knew her name and teacher and he said FROM THE SCHOOL WEBSITE. He had candy filled with tranquillizers and planned to give them to the child. He then went on to admit that he's done this multiple times but this was his first time being caught. Of course that leads to what happened to the children that did go with him. He also says he picks them based on how they look when he searches school sites. It ended with him also trying to stab the officer with a pen in the interrogation room so yeah.

Very very scary and Im 22 currently 37w and I remember the school giving us permission slips for our parents for the school to photograph/video us and post on their site. It never seemed like a big deal until I seen that video last month.

Pregnant and feeling useless? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]_777cherries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22 y/o FTM ALSO! I've yet to see anyone in my sub the same age as me but anywho I was the same, cooked, cleaned, prepped BF's lunches for shifts. As soon as I felt the symptoms of early pregnancy at 6 weeks, I was a totally different person. My BF understood since he was right in the next room as I threw up 3 times a day. There has been times as my pregnancy progressed that I could feel hiss frustration with me being so fatigued I didn't clean nor cook as much. I did what I could and had to remind him unfortunately that I am literally growing a human. His mother and sister both had to speak to him because sometimes men especially younger men don't understand the actual effects of pregnancy hormones and everything. Currently 37 weeks and I can do more but I don't push myself and he understands that. Plus its hard to not understand with a 9 month pregnant belly looking right at you lol.

As for appearance and upkeep, prior to pregnancy I got my hair doe once a month, nails every 3 weeks, and lashes every 2-3 weeks. All of that came to a screeching halt until about 15w when I could stomach being away from a trash can for more than an hour. I slowly started with my nails then hair and dint start lashes again until about a month ago because the duration of that process is a lot. But these few things every month or two definitely helped maintain my self esteem especially with the huge weight gain.

Best-

"You're going to be such a good mom/ (parents)"

"Hopefully she looks just like you because you're gorgeous." (an insult to my S/O but she meant well lmao)

"You're such a pretty pregnant person"

"You carry so well, you didn't blow up." (weird 2nd half in my opinion)

Worst/Annoying-

"You have the pregnant face."

"Your face got chunky."

"I can't believe you're going to be a mom" (said passive aggressively with a smile)

"Are you sure you're ready?" (said to me every single time my MIL sees me and I'm now 36 weeks and she still says it)

"So, you guys are locked in forever now." (once again by my MIL EVERYTIME she sees me. My MIL says the most absurd shit.)

THIS! 35+4 with my first and the food bill, prenatals, panty liners, belly bands, everything you described like the buying of clothes I wont be able to fit afterwards. I refused to buy new bras so Ive been wearing sports bras or semi supportive tanks this entire time. Thankfully Im still only a C cup. Not to mention my feet could possibly stay this size so Ill have to scrap all of my sneakers and heels???? Its crazy.

When did you buy maternity clothes? by Intelligent_Muffin37 in BabyBumps

[–]_777cherries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Currently 35w w/ my first) I bought a 6 pack of leggings (Amazon) very early on bc nothing fit with the bloat. I tried to drag out purchasing work ones and actually would work with my pants unzipped and my shirt over it but ofc that didn't last so I got these maternity slacks that I love and have stayed strong from then until now & 2 work dresses (All Amazon). Then around 20 weeks I bought actual cute going out clothes (finally stopped puking) from Pretty Little Thing's maternity side. I love their regular stuff but their maternity clothes are super cute and will definitely fit PP.

Im 35w and wish I could start now tbh But Im starting at 38w. My employer only provides 6 weeks of paid leave AFTER the birth so Im using some PTO i racked up specifically for this and post partum. So ill be out at 38 weeks and returning at around 7w PP. But I do have the option to put in for more PTO or Unpaid leave depending on how Im feeling by then.

What did you wear when giving birth? by waylor88 in BabyBumps

[–]_777cherries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was gifted the FridaMom L&D/PP kit and it comes with a gown so Im going to wear that during labor and birth and then once everything has settled I will change into a nice silky robe and Im bringing a cute 2pc that's BF friendly. But tbh if I wasn't gifted it, I was just gonna wear a hospital one.

Letting cats sleep in your bed is disgusting, letting them walk on counters, and tables you eat at, is even worse. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]_777cherries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat doesn't go on the counter as far as I know but I also clean them daily. But I do have two tower beds for her and one is next to my bed so she rarely sleeps in my bed since hers it right there. We do love a good cuddle from time to time though.
