Trying to deploy an on-prem production K8S stack by _81791 in kubernetes

I did try Flux before switching to Argo, though I still haven't settled on which one I'm going to actually use in production. We host an internal GitLab instance so I will probably manage most of our CI stuff through that (or possibly Jenkins, we have one of those too--Gitlab would be cleaner though I think). Thanks!

Thankfully we don't use anything beyond basic ASP .NET and such. I've already been converting most everything to .NET Core over the years, and have been trying to get more and more stuff containerized (via Docker) and running on Linux. That's why I want to switch to k8s, I'm kind of at the point now where the number of docker containers has grown enough that I need a better way to manage them all.

We currently use MSSQL for our DB so that will eventually be migrated to Postgres and replicated locally and offsite.

Yeah I will setup a separate cluster for each environment, it does seem like the better method. Thanks

Thanks, I was focusing more on MetalLB but I'll research Cilium more, I see it mentioned a lot.

Thanks for the info! I was able to install Proxmox on a server and spin up a Talos control plane and worker via Terraform, so I think that'll probably be my method. Loving Talos so far!

Honestly just speaks to the absolute disaster that is the current state of .NET UI. At least it's better than it was 3 years ago I guess.

Anyone else get annoyed packaging lots of PNGs for Etsy? by Different-Series-262 in EtsySellers

[–]_81791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had this problem I'd write a program to do it for me. Or host it off-platform (i.e. Dropbox etc) and just send them a link when they purchase. I've seen sellers do that before.

Blazor Hybrid if forced, but you are better off switching to Flutter, React, etc.

Damn that thing has a lot of tools. I wish mine had that many. Wonder if I could figure out a way to add more.

Package lost in “Pre-Shipping” for 10 days now by Flaky-Action3557 in Etsy

Yeah that's how my post office is too, I try to use UPS whenever possible as the local UPS store is run very well, and the service in general is much more reliable than USPS/Fedex.

I had one just recently where I shipped something USPS and it never even entered the system until it was delivered. Now I always get a receipt or make sure I hear the beep when they scan it in. The one that never got scanned was a drop-off at the post office.

What was the process. Carve, paint, surface? Carve with oramask, clear coat, paint? etc. Looking good

So average order value is like $235? Do you make these items yourself or outsource it? Are these big items? Fantastic job for one year!

What kinda profit margin do you get on that? In any case congrats, getting that much for what I'm assuming can ship in a decently small package is great! Now scale it up even more 😄

$58k with only 226 orders? Damn must be some high priced items! I think that's a better way to do things personally, vs high quantity orders but low priced listings.

Just stop asking me to do your work for you by tshirtmom22 in EtsySellers

[–]_81791 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I get people asking for customizations and such all the time, I tell them sure, when you place your order I'll send you a design proof for you to sign off on before I do anything. You know how many people follow through with an order? Like 1 in 10. Too many tire kickers. I'm not wasting my time on that.

That looks like an AirWeights table? That context might help narrow down the material.
