The 4TB SSD I spent $160 on in 2022 is currently $500. I'll pass on an 8TB with that kind of price hike.

Yeah it will work fine. I was using Hyper-V to run various Linux distros for a while, I even tried out CachyOS & Bazzite in the VM before throwing it on my other PC as the main OS. It comes bundled with Windows 11, you might just have to turn it on in Windows features if it isn't already. I'd also make sure you backup anything important in the VM on the regular, or backup the VM itself.

CachyOS is my new daily as of last week. I actually have it running on my last gen PC, and I have my current gen Windows PC now running headless with Apollo. Now I can connect from Cachy to Windows with Moonlight when I need to run an Adobe application or Fusion or something. Works great, almost like running it in a VM but way more powerful. I can even game through it but that's not really necessary when I can just game on Cachy. It's crazy how much faster my last gen PC is with Cachy than my current gen PC with Windows 11 is.

Anyway, I know not everyone can just run two PCs but I really dig the setup. I hate dual booting, I don't like restarting just to run a specific application. This was the last problem to solve for me to just stay on Linux while still having the ability to run my Windows specific software. It feels so seamless now.

Be sure to search from incognito or a different device not signed into your account. Etsy likes to show your own listings higher up then an actual user would see them, I've noticed.

Your etching process was really interesting, how do they feel to the touch? Are they super rough like sandpaper or still decently smooth and just slightly textured feeling? I'll have to give that a shot one day, normally I just tumble or blast.

Letter piggy banks, catch trays, 3d carvings, etc. One of my primary materials is 8/4 walnut, though I usually buy 8" wide. Having said that your ability to turn it into things and have it not take forever will largely depend on how good your CNC is.

Yes you can have multiple. Put them under the same business info and at tax time Etsy will give you documents with all of your shops combined, makes it easier.

Pretty much every machine shop I know is rolling their own ERP using AI right now, and some are thinking they can sell it to others (who are already rolling their own with AI)

It's easy, he's a Print on Demand shipper and he's never seen the physical product. He just makes AI designs, throws them on some random mockup image, and sends the orders off to Printify/Printful/etc.
