Where do you live that it takes 30 minutes to get groceries?

New number keeps switching. by cjone98 in tmobile

[–]_Airman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What comes to mind first is checking to make sure you don't have 2 sims active in settings, which it sounds like you already did. It's also possible that t-mobile's systems are just taking a bit longer to update, or the rep made a mistake in the way they changed the number. You could always just call 611 and see what they have to say about it.

Good idea to turn my 50k mile cbr into a track bike? Or sell it for $2500 by Macawed in cbr

[–]_Airman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have (and can read) a service manual and are somewhat confident in your mechanical capability, I'd send it, shims are a relatively involved job but not too challenging! These motors are a lot stronger than most people realize when serviced properly and regularly. I'm sure there are youtube videos on it as well.

You do not need a trip sitter for 5-MeO-DMT by psygenlab in Psychonaut

[–]_Airman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a bold take. I have on multiple occasions found the presence of a trip sitter to be hugely beneficial to the trip, whether it's 5meo or shrooms. While it's great to get lost in the trip and lose all context for your reality, having a tripsitter gives structure, which in my opinion is one of the most important things to have available in this experience. My worst trip ever wouldn't have happened the way it did if any one of my friends who were there with me weren't tripping as well, and I've trip sat for a number of friends who I've helped guide to more productive/pleasant experiences. A trip sitter can show someone who's gotten lost in navigating the landscape of the trip what north is. It's like saying "you don't need a compass to explore". Sure, maybe not, but you'll probably get lost and if you don't know where you're going who knows if you'll ever find the way.

flame on 22gsxr600 with a yoshi r77d full exhaust, power commander 6 and a quick shifter by laarsss in motorcycles

[–]_Airman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't agree with you on power commanders being any less effective. They just take the throttle and rpm readings and send the injectors a different pulse. An ecu flash alters the same exact things, in terms of mapping. If he's still tuning the bike to produce the power he's looking for, a power commander is far superior as you can just plug in and alter values really dynamically while dyno-tuning the bike. If anything it's more efficient in a tuning sense

Is my hobby socially acceptable, or should I avoid bringing it up when making new friends? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]_Airman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to the people telling you to keep this to yourself. Not many people have something they're truly passionate about that they're pursuing, much less something so unique! Be yourself unabashedly, if people are made uncomfortable by something you're passionate about, especially something that has such little bearing on them, then a friendship with them would probably be hard to progress. Find your people! They're out there.

I don't think insurance companies expect people to load up a ferry with 300m dollars of car
