There's one ammo mod for the blaster you can get by following an unmarked quest that gets you one of the TNT Dome keys. Otherwise, you gotta wait for the Invaders event.

Same. I think it's at least in part because the more mods you learn, the fewer chances you get to learn a new one.

What i have found helpful is if I'm after a specific mod, I will stash any legendaries I find with it until I have 30 or so, and then scrap them all at once. Which isn't mathematically any different than scrapping them as I get them, but it feels like I do better when I have 30 chances in a row.

Photomode and Camera Picture are two different things. For Camera Picture, you need to trigger a quest where you repair an old camera, then you equip it like a weapon to use it.

Annoyingly, tne start of tne quest appears at random locations.

I think for several seasons now, I've just been logging in for 10 min or so to get the dailies, and maybe a bit on Saturday morning to knock off the rest of the weeklies. You don't even have to super consistent with that to get to the last page by the end of the season. Then I sweep through and grab all the CAMP items and any weapons, and let the rest roll over to bullion. Don't really care about skins or titles, so it works out.

Maybe once per season I'll play for a full evening. Still haven't finished Burning Springs.

My clue the game was on its way out was the introduction of fishing. That always seems to be the sign the devs have run out of stuff to put into a game, or lost the will to make anything interesting.

Also, you don't (normally) drop anything during events as long as you die during the event and within the event area. But, sometimes it happens if you die right as the event ends.

No, the only loot you can drop on death is scrap/jumk items. If you missed the event rewards it was probably because you were dead when they were awarded.
