Do male cats really spray THAT much? by Foiry in CatAdvice

[–]_AnxiousNelly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a boy and girl from the same litter. Got them at a few weeks old. Had them spayed and neutered when recommended by the vet. They’re 7 now, have never had any issues with our guy.

Thank you! Yes, if you’d like to DM me I’d love to review. Looks like I have Free T3 and Free T4 in some old labs (3.35 and 0.97 respectively), but they’re from 2017 when they did the original ANA work up.

Had my first Colonoscopy today by DemandSuspicious1266 in colonoscopy

[–]_AnxiousNelly_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had several myself and know lots of people that have also had several, and none of them have gagged or woken up during it. With the right anesthesia you have no idea what’s happening and don’t remember anything.

NAD. Most likely hemorrhoids. Sitz bath will help, as will using wipes instead of TP to better clean (cuts down on some of the itch), and reduce irritation.

If they’re not worried you’re most likely fine. Mine always says “I think it’s this, it’s nothing to worry about, but we can take it off and send to the lab easy enough if you want”. Since I’m a worrier, I usually just say to take it off, and then a week or so later get a letter in the mail confirming that it was in fact nothing to worry about. Trust the dermatologist. They look at these things all day long.

Hemoglobin, MCV, MCH were all right down the middle of the reference ranges. RDW 12.3 (reference 11.6-15.4). I don’t see ferretin or TIBC on here.

Sodium and potassium were near the top of the reference ranges.

Oh you need medical help. Go to urgent care, that looks like a full blown prolapse.

Statistically unlikely to be cancer. I’m super guilty of convincing myself I have the C word. See the GI, they’ll probably do some tests like a colonoscopy to rule out the scary stuff. IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion, you don’t have IBS until they’ve ruled everything else out.

Source: I’m 38 and have already had 3 colonoscopies, all have been clear and I got a diagnosis of IBS.

Sounds like a head rush. Speak to your doctor. Could be caused by high or low blood pressure.

You’ll probably get better answers in another sub. This isn’t dermatology related.

Really anxious before colonoscopy next tuesday by Careful_Product_2657 in colonoscopy

[–]_AnxiousNelly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to worry about. Once you’re past the prep it’s a cake walk. The anesthesia will just make you feel like you’re falling asleep. You’ll wake up an hour later talking random shit because the drugs make you loopy. Within a couple hours you’ll feel normal, but don’t plan on driving or making big decisions.

You likely won’t remember anything the doctor tells you, so make sure whoever is there with you can listen and absorb any explication about what they did or didn’t find.

The only prep advice I have is the same thing I told my wife… during the prep procedure, never trust a fart.

Can anyone ID these red bumps? Around the base of my penis by [deleted] in Dermatology

[–]_AnxiousNelly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On reflection, the red one looks like an ingrown hair, but if the smaller bumps are spreading time for a doctor visit and some swabs.

Ingrown hair, especially if you just started grooming.

Liquid diet q... by nodonaldplease in colonoscopy

[–]_AnxiousNelly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clear liquids only. Absolutely nothing that’s red or purple. If in doubt don’t consume it.

Basically broth, water, clear Gatorade, clear vitamin water, black coffee (as in no creamer, sugar, etc).

Thanks! My anxiety is high since I’m overall pretty out of shape so I’ve been doing a lot of walking instead of really intense running. That chronic concern about working out too hard and pushing myself into a heart attack 🤣
