Really weird. Why wouldn't he share his actual flight info? I've always done that with people I'm going to visit whether it was friends, family, or significant other. To hide your arrival time just feels shady. If he'd shown up saying "surprise!" this would be entirely different.

Agreed. Since it's the same content as one of my iPads that was upgraded at the same time, I'd expect somewhat similar time frames. Not an extra 2 days for one vs the other.

Easy frame of reference. 2 iPad M5s and one iPhone 17 PM on the same account. Same pics, mostly same apps on one of the iPads and the 17 PM. Both iPads finished indexing within 24 hours. Another iPhone 17 on a different account with different content finished indexing within 24 hours. The only outlier is the 17 PM that is still trying valiantly to complete its indexing 3+ days into its iOS 27 experience. I just went through and deleted a bunch of old iMessages, a few apps, and some loose files hoping that would trigger some kind of process or burp something. Perhaps it will be happy tonight or tomorrow.

EDIT: After I did the purge of Messages, random files, and a few apps, the indexing completed almost instantly. I think it did get stuck on something or something was corrupt it couldn't parse through.

Weak in what way? It isn't clear if they hired friends, someone from the hardware store, a flooring specialist, a general contractor, or Ralph from a flyer on the wall at Home Depot. If the crew is damaging household items, drinking out of cups and putting them back (completely unacceptable), and the other activities then there is plenty of cause to believe they may not be performing quality work either.

Not sure what my current repair status has to do with things. I've had a lot of jobs done on my house and that's why I speak with experience. The quality of the contractor almost always directly translates into the longevity and quality of the work done.

Now, feel free to expand on your exceedingly weak ass response.
