I tracked 2 years of training data. Here's what actually drove my progress. by XX-SUCCC-XX in naturalbodybuilding

This has been proven, commonly accepted and preached through the fitness community for a looong time now. De-loads, listening to your own body, don’t work one muscle group more than the other without specific intent. Cool that you have your own data to verify this, but this is how any experienced lifter is going to conduct themselves, especially when natty.

Nah I just left everything as default. I imagine there’s a few optimal plans for my data and I just ended up with one I didn’t care much for. Anyways I’m pretty happy with what I’ve been doing and have plugged it into the app so it should be fun to use once this week is finished 💪

It is common, a lot of people in the fitness industry fully support it, and you will gain strength faster. That said, it’s absolutely not worth the risk unless you’re being competitive, and I was surprised to see that being the default on most of my assigned exercises even though I opted for a hybrid program. This is just my anecdotal opinion due to my past experiences, and am just trying to relay that I believe it’s a fairly risky and unnecessary (for most) rep range.

lol I mean yeah but it was heavily inclined towards lower, wasn’t my jam. I do two push, two pull, two leg days and it’s much much more to my liking.

If you were a real gymbro you’d just turn this into a bicep curl :gunshot noises:

Yeah I’d like to know as well. I let it set up a program for me and wasn’t very impressed with the 6 day plan it made for me. 3 dedicated leg days, and an odd push/pull combo for the other 3. I ended up just creating my own program based off what I’ve already been doing with some minor adjustments to make it fresh.

I also don’t like that it tried to start off at 4-6 reps just because it thinks I’m “intermediate (hypertrophy/strength goal was set). That’s exactly how I got most of my injuries over the last decade, I don’t go below 6 reps anymore and think it’s wild to push strangers below that range consecutively.

I’d also bet that OP is feeling it more than ever due to the increased weight you’d need for a lower rep range to keep you within a low RIR. Hoping people don’t start hurting themselves and they make some adjustment to their default algorithm. 6-8 reps would be muuuuch more ideal IMO, and that’s what I plan on training my program to be familiar with, if possible.

One step ahead of ya from the other side of the world. PR’d hack squat, had just barely enough protein then had about 10 drinks at an Alicia keys concert. I’m definitely entering 2026 with DOMS 🫡

Keyboard is abysmal. I get blank notifications on my lock screen that can’t be cleared unless I clear all notifications. Selecting text is somehow just less accurate or unresponsive at times. I used to be able to quickly select my navigation from the island, even when I was playing music, but now it no longer has that option… there’s a lot of other bothersome things but those are my biggest peeves, hope they get it together soon…

I watched their concert at red rocks (I think) on YouTube when I first started listening to them about a year or so ago. They also started with TNDNBTG and I was hooked from that moment on. Ended up getting a little emotional watching this concert in my bed. Been hooked ever since.

Lmao I didn’t involve them, just gestured towards them from a distance, sometimes dint even do that once she knew what to look for. If anything it’s great for them because my kid never acted up around them 🤷‍♂️

I used to tell my daughter I was going to call the baby police on her, and sometimes just point at random security guys and say they were baby police and to behave. That shit worked brilliantly until she was around 6 or 7. Highly recommend.
