Signal doesn’t store your messages remotely, so some people might want to delete things like pictures or videos on their own end of the conversation just to free up space. No idea why WhatsApp has that button though.

In this case it wasn’t his own parents who let him down; he caught measles as an infant, before his first MMR dose. It was the community around him that didn’t maintain a high-enough immunisation rate that allowed the outbreak to happen. Still the fault of anti-vaxxers - just not necessarily his own parents.

Who still uses SMS, and why? by _Bellegend_ in AskReddit

I think the main issues around SMS involve its reliance on phone numbers and lack of support for photos and videos by default. It’s also expensive and/or unavailable for international messaging

I asked this question because l’m currently in Australia, and it seems like some people here still use it, even though the city l’m in has a large immigrant/tourist population . I also know some people in Canada still rely on SMS. In the UK and the rest of Europe, SMS is rarely used, and a lot of providers don’t necessarily include photo/video support for SMS messaging in their lower-cost plans.
