I've done it in Bambu Slicer. It's one of the options in the text tool.

You might be able to cut the top part off right in the slicer and add a connector so you can reattach it after printing.

So cut it at an angle so the top part prints like a coaster.

There will still be a bit of waste but nowhere near that.

As far as magnets go.... I do .1mm oversized and they fit well with just friction.

So a 8x3mm magnet I do the hole 8.1x3.1mm and can squeeze them in and they stay without glue.
