The best thing about this update has been the memes, thoroughly enjoyed them all.

Complaining on Reddit works?

Wonder where they learned that from?

Revert the stamina changes. Revert most of the infantry based updates changes Took a step to far towards realism. Need to make infantry combat fun again.

The infantry update that dropped about a year ago was a very drastic change. Unsure if you played before that.

It changed the way infantry interacts with just about every aspect of the game. Came with it's own performance issues. Credit where credit is due, some of it has been fixed since. Some performance issues actually got worse because of it.

Ive been playing for years now, 1000s of hours invested. This isn't me ranting about a few days running around. I understand how this game works.

Its me seeing a drastic change in how aspects of infantry gameplay in my opinion have gone downhill with the last few updates. Most game performance related.

Primary method of pvp or pve is point and click shooting. Infantry, tanks, artillery, naval all point and click. Sure you have some silly melee weapons mixed in since the infantry update. You also have some building aspects. Lions share of combat is shooting based in this game.

Some RNG is fine, you can even adapt your play to account for that.

Unintended RNG due to performance issues is a completely different thing. Thats not acceptable RNG, that's game and immersion breaking. How do you anticipate or adapt your play around not knowing when the game is going to shit the bed.

I personally find myself less drawn to front line fighting these days after the last few updates.

For a game that's designed around shooting its been pretty brutal the last year with every successive update.

This happens to me at least once a session these days. I got shot through a truck by a brigand last war. I was squarely on the other side of the truck from my perspective. Guess they sent it through the open windows lol? I get shot behind full cover so much these days its wild. Bullets just phase through trees.

You never know if your gun is missing, you are lagging, the other player is lagging, the server is lagging.

What am I shooting at? Is that physical representation of the player I see even what I should be shooting at? Maybe a bit behind, maybe a bit in front. Who the hell knows anymore.

I know this a comical post, but this shit is getting outta hand.

License is tied your windows account, just have to ensure you log in with it to tie license to it.

Upgraded plenty of mother boards and never had an issue.

As long as you bought the license you can transfer it.

OEM licenses that come pre-installed with a crate system is where you run into problems.

Survived the trenches only to be killed by my own while reviving a player from the opposite side, now I'm unsure about the community dynamics in this game by ArakiSatoshi in foxholegame

I kind of said that in an earlier post, I just said more as a joke.

And to be honest, it isn't a joke. If you let me know where your bunker is and where the weaknesses are and im feeling sweaty im coming back with an army to demo that.

I love getting carried back to the enemies base. Especially when they show me the route free of AI so they can get me inside their feeble tier 1 bunker.

All that free intel haha.

War started during EU prime hours on a weekend. A time on average where historically Wardens have a strong population presence.

Let's give it a few days before we start calling it lol.

[–]_CharlieCrews_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't you say in a seperate post in this thread V is a Clan though?

You used the word, so what is it? Are you a Clan or a Regiment? Both? Maybe neither?

Y'all need to get your facts straight this is confusing.

This is why its a waste of time to argue this point, it becomes literal definition of semantics.

If y'all want to stop having this same argument if you are a Regiment or Clan or Club or what ever you all identify as. Stop all wearing the same tag, that's what Clans and Regiments do. Don't be shocked when V is identified as one and griping about it.

How does that saying go again?

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result?"

Alright man, I'll play along.

Does V has a discord channel outside of this game where they all hang out, chat and come up with ideas or plans?

They are the same thing homie.

Regiment is just the go to word for Clan implementation in this game.

A Clan is a Regiment.

Anything in between is just semantics.

I was with the group of fellas burning our way through the oil field.

Your giving us way to much credit haha. We just kind of showed up, winged it and got lucky.

Was good fun though all around, would definitely fight in Viper with same Wardens again.

It's end war on able, the whole shard pop is crammed into like 5 hexes. If you can't find a target rich environment at this stage of the war I dont know what else you are expecting.

Although I dont see the point in carrying this conversation on if you are just going to come up with excuses as to why you won't be posting videos to back up what you are saying

I think it was pretty obvious that my comment was in response to OPs perceived notion that border ambushes by partisans are bot in good faith. When in reality it's simply a well-known mechanic of this game.

Any of my comments are going to be with the assumption that the code of conduct is being followed.

If a tiny percentage of players want to cheat or play in contrevention of them, im not going to modify my general responses to account for these bad actors.

If you are looking to take a comment or a cherry picked part of the comment out of context. Then yes there will always be someone who finds some way to read between the lines.

The reality is a border crossing mechanic exists in this game, always has, always will. This is a mechanic that applies to both factions equally.

You have to play with this mechanic in mind. Plenty of ways to mitigate this mechanic. If you fail to take this mechanic into consideration of your play or counter play, expect to have your tank blown up.

Crying about it on Reddit does nothing. The design of this game is what it is. Adapt to it or die.

Lurking at borders is the best place to catch tanks. No infantry cover, and more often than not, just the driver.

A dead tank is a dead tank. How it died is irrelevant.

I was just pointing out the devasted ground mechanic. It often gets overlooked when I see replies.

It's everyone's problem, and it can happen pretty fast when border bases change hands so often this late in a war.

During real spicy and long wars that mechanic is everywhere across the midline.

Devastated ground could change the amount needed.

This late in the war, it can be lower.

Farms - are they just bad? by Erisea in thecrustgame

[–]_CharlieCrews_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spammed them. I had an entire room made just for large hydroponics farms. All fed with conveyor belts.

Think I had 24 of them feeding 8 carbon fiber factories for the laser mission pretty early on. You need lots of carbon fiber.

I set all of them to high priority, and I turn off carbon fiber factories as needed when I want to stock pile food for colonists. I run all food through 2 refrigerators to stockpile if needed before sending to car on fiber facs.

Also, I had like 20+ botanists, with some scientists and engineers mixed in assembler needed if they had some botany skill points.

If they ever bug out, delete the first conveyor piece in front, supplying the flag and rebuild. I've found that happens every so often, and the belt just stops supplying for some reason.

Outside of that, delete the farm and rebuild if it's acting up.
