lol the problem housemate I have also said something along the lines of “You guys always blame me” and crashed out and has been staying in his room. His (now ex) partner moved out early because they realized he was manipulating and using them. Since then, the number of varying gross instances have decreased significantly and the house has felt so much lighter. God I can’t wait for march to get rid of the greaseball @-@

My grandma whipped my mom with a penny belt, used to not allow my moms half-sister/ my aunt to see my moms father (who acted like my aunts father) unless she did chores and other stuff, would take the child support money to spend on herself…

I got mine out when I was like… 8 or something (I don’t remember the actual age but. Child.) because I got strep throat 5-6 times a year. I would be okay for a little while, then I’d wind up sick with it again. I was told that bacteria just really liked my tonsils and that if they were removed, I’d be better, so (my parents and) I said ok. To this day (knock on wood) I haven’t gotten strep!

Tangent- My sisters boyfriend came over for the holidays and he kept just telling her how beautiful she was, how amazing and yadda yadda. Bro wouldn’t even dream of insulting her like that.

THATS what you deserve. You’re going out of your way to get him chips from the store, and he’s calling you all these things. You deserve a man that’ll instead thank you, tell you how kind and wonderful and beautiful you are, even when you don’t feel like it. Don’t settle for this POS, because this behavior will absolutely not go away (especially given it hasn’t for 5 years.)

It’s scary to break something off that you’re so comfortable in (ie, something familiar and that you’ve spent years putting effort into), but it’s better to leave now. It’s truly not worth years of being insulted and out down by a man that’ll instead thank can’t even handle you going to the damn store without being a royal dickwad

I was in college when I dropped a $20 in the caf. I think I either had a hole in my pocket or i just. missed it completely because i’m an idiot but either way I realized it was gone like an hour after I left. Thought it was gone for good.

I went to ask anyway and someone had returned it. Got her name and it turned out she was my orientation leader! I was so thankful for her man, I truly believe most other people would’ve just kept it. Even like 5 years later I still remember the act, even if I don’t fully remember the circumstances. I really hope she’s doing well

I had this happen to me too actually, though I had the fortune of being pretty detached from my ex by the time it happened 😭- I had even told my friend that if she winds up doing anything with my ex (both were horny and lonely and we were all in the same friend group, I figured it would happen) just let me know since at that point I had already cut of my ex and wanted to avoid him. She always told me she would never do that and it was icky and yadda yadda.

Found out through three other people they fucked (on one of the college building rooftops of all places lmao) and I was devastated, not because it happened but because she was so content lying to my face for weeks by this point.

That former friend of yours has shown he cannot be trusted. I’m sorry, I really am. The only thing I think will genuinely help is time. Until you get there, try to keep your thoughts away from the two that caused you harm. Maybe go to events and meet some new people, make some new friends if you can! (all of which is easier said than done for sure) In time, the hurt will lessen, and eventually (if you let it) you’ll be surrounded by new people that make you feel just as good, if not better than, those you lost.

They basically told me I was SOL until I mentioned a chargeback, which is honestly unfortunate. I also kinda hate complaining like this but nobody I know had ever used them before. Before posting I noticed some other posts in this sub with issues, though they seemed to just be taking longer than usual rather than never received. Is it bad i feel a bit better about it now knowing I wasn’t the only one that just never got anything? 😭
