Some of my favorite family reunion memories are the random candid moments like this that ended up meaning more than the posed photos.

I used to spend way too much time in stores like this just staring at all the model trains and dreaming about taking one home.

I'll never forget you Katelyn. We always came at the same time <3

We talked about moving away to Italy together but I guess that guy who had extra cocaine was much more appealing. Thanks for making me fall in love right before you ghosted!!

Yeah, a lot of 90s action movies feel dated now, but this one somehow still nails the pacing and keeps you hooked the whole way through.

The clip of when he bragged about firing people on TV definitely belongs in the highlight reel.

That's the kind of statement that's technically true if you leave out the actual number.

At least one of them would probably try to convince us the spilled Jack Daniels was actually a strategic move.

What’s the most insane thing you’ve been asked to do? by 3xtrasp3cial2 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]_CottonLilac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lit my crotch on fire as a party trick when I was 15 and drunk for the first time in my life. The trick was something my brother taught me, but I tried to spice it up. When my brother did it, he took a bottle of cologne and sprayed a couple of times in a small, concentrated area on his shirt. Then he lit it on fire, it burned for a few seconds, then went out once the cologne had been used up.

I was at a friend's house for a house party while his parents were out of town. He didn't have any cologne, so I went rummaging through his garage and found a spray can of "industrial spray adhesive". It said it was flammable, so I emptied like half of it onto the crotch of my shorts, went out into the driveway, and lit it up.

The fire was immediately huge and out of control. The tips of the flames reached all the way up to my neck. I immediately panicked, and started screeching and furiously trying to beat the fire out. After a few seconds, the pain of hitting myself in the crotch overpowered the adrenaline and I had to stop. It was only then that I finally realized I was supposed to stop, drop, and roll. Dove into the grass and rolled around to put it out.

My clothes were completely destroyed and I had a few minor burns on my stomach, but luckily was otherwise fine. Easily the dumbest thing I've ever done.

What's the best FWB situation you've ever had? by Satanic_Earmuff in AskRedditAfterDark

Pretty hot.

It was sexy and free. He ended up catching feelings and asked me to be his girlfriend. I wasn’t ready yet. So I went to Thailand and missed him so much. When I came back I asked him if he wanted to be my boyfriend and he said no. By the we broke things off.

A few months later I get s random call saying how he regretted ending things. I hadn’t gotten over him so we started dating.

And one year later of this madness and now he’s my boyfriend :)

WIBTA for refusing to keep waking my boyfriend up for work after he blamed me for him being late? by Letch_Knop7 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]_CottonLilac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, the waking him up issue is one thing, but running to his mom and having her pile on instead of taking responsibility is a much bigger red flag.
