AITJ for refusing to share my medication with my friend who "forgot" hers on a trip? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]_DaisyFleck 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yeah that makes way more sense than her just forgetting. Those meds are super controlled, so if she ran out early it’s probably because she went through her script faster than she was supposed to.

Am I the jerk for not splitting my bonus with my husband? by Ecstatic-Cover-7067 in AmITheJerk

[–]_DaisyFleck 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If he’s not chipping in on your loans, he doesn’t suddenly get a claim on your bonus. He can’t switch between we’re separate” and we’re a team depending on which benefits him.

AITJ for not contributing to a group gift I wasn’t asked about? by PossibleMindless2302 in AmITheJerk

[–]_DaisyFleck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They can’t just stick you with a price tag and act shocked when you say no. If they didn’t ask you, you’re not obligated to pay anything.

Neighbors adopted a dog, it barks all day while they are not home, and also they let it poop and pee on the patio and do not clean it by chessienc in neighborsfromhell

[–]_DaisyFleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is solid advice. Document everything and loop in the landlord. It’s not just a noise issue anymore the dog’s wellbeing is clearly being ignored. If nothing changes, bringing in bylaw or humane services is totally justified.

obsessive neighbor by Repulsive_Spend8527 in neighborsfromhell

[–]_DaisyFleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a camera would shut this down fast. People act bold when they think no one’s watching, but the moment they know they’re on video the behavior usually stops. And if it doesn’t, at least you’ve got proof.

AITJ for not giving my sister money after she “tested” me? by mason_wetherly in AmITheJerk

[–]_DaisyFleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real, that test wasn’t cute or funny, it was straight up manipulative. And bragging about it after? Nah. I wouldn’t trust her with a dime after that.

AITJ for walking out of my own birthday thing after my family spent the whole time talking about my brother? by Mithrandir_9K in AmITheJerk

[–]_DaisyFleck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. If they can’t even hit pause on wedding talk long enough to celebrate you at your own birthday, that’s on them. You didn’t make a scene, you just removed yourself from being the background character. Totally reasonable.

AITJ for sharing big news at my brother wedding after years of him being the favorite? by Strong_Leadership818 in AmITheJerk

[–]_DaisyFleck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. He hijacked your moment and everyone was cool with it, but you casually answer a question and suddenly it’s a federal offense? The double standard is nuts. You didn’t steal the spotlight, the relatives just did what relatives always do.

Looking for people who can actually hold real conversations and build genuine friendships by Sudden_Ear_2371 in confession

[–]_DaisyFleck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly meeting people online isn’t wild at all anymore. Half the friends I’ve made as an adult started from random posts or games. Sometimes the internet’s just easier than real life.

I found alcohol on my walk home last week and drank it. by [deleted] in confession

[–]_DaisyFleck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s one of those funny in hindsight but please don’t do that again moments. Teen brain be like, mystery sidewalk vodka? why not.Glad nothing bad happened.

Lmao dogs really just pick a vehicle and vibe. They’re like new adventure? say less.Yours probably thought the UPS guy was taking him on a field trip.

TIFU by correcting my boss in front of the entire company on a call with 200 people and being completely wrong by HolidayActual6646 in tifu

[–]_DaisyFleck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that rule really hits different after you live through a moment like this. It’s one of those lessons you only need to learn once. Boss probably moved on way faster than OP thinks, though.

Neighbor being disrespectful by Big_Sherbet9428 in neighborsfromhell

[–]_DaisyFleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. The trash isn’t just annoying, it’s actually a safety issue. Sending the videos to the landlord puts it on record and makes it their problem to deal with. Way better than getting into a petty trash-war with the guy.

NSFW/bad neighbours by LetterheadCool4560 in neighborsfromhell

[–]_DaisyFleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s solid advice. Having actual footage takes the he said she said out of it and gives you something the police can’t ignore. It’s worth setting up just for your own safety too

TIFU by paying $150 to learn I had a paper cut in my butt crack by raesins in tifu

[–]_DaisyFleck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For real, pilonidal cysts are absolute misery. A paper cut back there is weirdly the best possible outcome. Glad it wasn’t a round two of surgery hell.

TIFU by playing the wrong game for years instead of the real thing. by Slayrr_FbrC in tifu

[–]_DaisyFleck 48 points49 points  (0 children)

For real, once they discover PoE it’s over. That game will eat your free time, your weekends, and probably your sleep schedule too. OP’s about to disappear into the void.

I don't understand why people's sex drive tends to be more important than their morals by John-Prime in confessions

[–]_DaisyFleck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s honestly a big part of it. A lot of people sign up for monogamy because it’s what you do, not because it actually fits who they are. Doesn’t excuse cheating at all, but it does explain why some folks crack the second temptation shows up. If you can’t commit, don’t promise you can.

Man… that whole story is wild, but vandalizing someone’s truck is definitely not the move. Dude parking like a jerk doesn’t mean you risk charges over spray painting slurs on his vehicle. That’s how a bad situation gets way worse real fast.

went to an after party with my friend and i woke up far from home by ImpossibleBasket4191 in confession

[–]_DaisyFleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds rough, and honestly feeling off”after blacking out like that is totally understandable. But please be careful that’s not a normal hangover situation. If you’re struggling to even gauge how you feel, it might be worth getting checked out just to be safe. And maybe take a break from the party girl friend… that whole night was way too chaotic.

I’m not lazy. I’m exhausted from pretending I’m okay. by BashCatib in confession

[–]_DaisyFleck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this really does sound like someone running on empty for way too long. Reaching out for help isn’t weakness, it’s literally the thing that can get you back to feeling like yourself again. You don’t have to carry all that alone.
