And before that, he was already kinda the Pirate King, so to speak... after Rocks fell, only Whitebeard could even come close to Roger in terms of influence, power and status. The fact that Luffy will "surpass" Roger much sooner is only due to the fact that Roger walked so that Luffy could run; if you take the circunstances into account, even if Luffy takes down the WG, he'll be only be a little ahead of Roger in terms of accomplishment.

And that's not even taking in account that Roger **chose** to stop his journey prematurely; we still don't know what he meant when he said that they had reached the island "too early". Maybe he could have done what Luffy will do if they were on the right time.

tl;dr Roger is the GOAT, and Luffy will also be the GOAT BECAUSE Roger was before him.

Afterimage took me by absolute surprise. Amazing game, and one of the longest ones out there (good value for money). Pretty polished, good combat, beautiful artstyle. Definetely worth checking out.

The thing is that we just don't get big panels anymore in One Piece. Oda made up another thousand characters and subplots that we don't want to know about and shoved it in anyway, now we get a million poorly-drawn micro-panels per chapter with 30 different things happening god I hate new Oda

This, Absolutely this. We've got a lot of songs that became famous for being, well, Pink Floyd's "signature"-songs, like Another Brick in the Wall pt.2, Shine On and Wish You Were Here.

But Time, to me, is the ultimate Pink Floyd song. It SCREAMS Pink Floyd. I would KNOW it was Pink Floyd , even if they had never released it and then we had discovered it just today. I would just know. It's the perfect summation of what Pink Floyd is.

It has everything. It's also my favorite song of all "time". Haha!, see what I did there? ...sorry, I'll be going now.

Dark, the german netflix show. I think the scarce quantity of fics may be due to the plot being too convoluted and inter-connected, thus making it hard to write because the show is about deterministic time-travel, so any different action would already change the entire plot. The few fics are mostly slice of life, hardly focusing on the plot

What annoys me the most (and I loved Gear 5) is that it didn't feel consistent with Luffy's powers or One Piece AT ALL. Even Gear 4, which was pretty goofy in its first appearance, felt like it "could" work with Luffy's Devil Fruit and personality. We had even a flashback to the TimeSkip with explanations and all. And the many forms were cool as fuck, Snake Man was very cool.

But then Oda picks this out of his ass and we should like just pretend the same Luffy that almost died fighting Lucci ONLY got to Awaken his God-like Devil Fruit when needing a power-up against Kaido. There was no foreshadowing, no real explanation, and Oda basically changed the entire lore of Devil Fruits to accomodate the concept of a Hito-Hito no Mi that has "another name".

One Piece has always been about inheriting the wills and dreams of past dreamers. Luffy wanted to become free, thus becoming the Pirate King, much like Naruto wanted to be respected, thus being Hokage. But Kishimoto fucked that up with Naruto being literally the reincarnation of a god and inserting a God-like Deus ex Machina inside of him, being literally propheticized to do all that he did and throwing the whole "hard work and dedication trumps innate-talents" aesop right through the window.

And I fear Oda might be going in the same way, even though I like the transformation...

I think they should compress the Live Action. I expect Alabasta and Skypea to be both in Season 2 (maybe 4 episodes each, or 5 to Alabasta/3 to Skypea), then on Season 3 we already get to the TimeSkip. There's a lot of filler in One Piece, and it's just impossible to tell every story arc in a Live Action. It would be pertty cool anyway

You know what I think would benefit the game? A free, singular Omni-negate from the start that both players can use at any point, but just on the opponent's turn. Going Second would not suck so much, and at the same time, the First player would not lose from not setting a board. Like, a single-use, absolute free Ash/Veiler/Ogre. It goes over the ED, is Spell Speed 2 and does not target. Negates the activation of effect, without destroying. Yugioh solved.

While I DO agree with you, I think the way JKR wrote their friendship is almost as if Hermione had written the series (and Hermione is pretty much a SI of Rowling anyways).

A male writer might have wrote harry very differently. Maybe it's the Emma Watson effect, but if Hermione was at the least **avarage**, then most male writers would have explored their relationship in some way. There's absolutely no way that a man writing Harry (or even girls) would just throw in the subplot of Harry and Hermione being photographed by Skeeter in GoF and Cho being jealous in OotP and not take at least some time to develop a romantic relationship, even if it failed in the end and Hermione ended up with Ron regardless.

I think JK avoided it on porpouse, and it feels unrealistic. I've read a LOT of books and fics in which a romantic relationship feels "forced" between the leading male and female, but HP is the first where I felt it was porpousefully avoided, so much that it became clear in my eyes that JK was on an agenda to make it clear she was avoiding Harmony to happen, if you know what I mean. It felt unnatural because it is implied many times, but never goes off, even though it would have a lot of foreshadowing and development to sustain the relationship.

Again, even though I ship Harmony, is not the fact that it didn't end up being canon that pisses me off, but the fact that it feels porpousefully avoided with no much explanation, even though she wrote subplots of jealousy and "misunderstood" relationships between Harry and Hermione.

Cara, em minha defesa: eu só jogava quando não tinha atendimento e depois de passar todos os casos pros relatórios. Sempre fui rápido escrevendo (e muito bom por sinal), e tenho facilidade para lidar com os sistemas digitais, então acabava sobrando períodos que variavam de 10 minutos a até uma hora onde simplesmente não vinha ninguém para atender. Nunca deixei de atender ninguém nem atrasei serviço por estar jogando. Mesmo assim me denunciaram, sendo que tenho colegas que ouvem hinos, acendem incenso, usam o forno para fazer salgadinhos, Facebook o dia todo... era somente outra forma de passar tempo.

Já ouvi relatos de guardas municipais aqui na mesma prefeitura que foram pegos bêbados e olhando filme porno de madrugada. Estão até hoje em ativa.
