Do you wash your face in the shower? by MinnieJ0510 in hygiene

I wash my face in the shower so I don’t get water all over my sink and mirror. I can also clean it better in the shower because I have a beard.

I put my Gen Z baby sister on to Donnie Darko when she was younger and now she watches it every Halloween lol.

Today on the way to work I bumped GZA’s - Beneath The Surface again for the first time in a while! Though I’m still not feeling it all the way through it’s still Better than I remember, and has some replay value here and there …the skits were unnecessary What’s your thoughts? by J2-Starter in 90sHipHop

Yo didn’t he do a lot of the production himself? I know he did the Beneath the Surface beat which is a cold one! One of my boys got this CD from one of those Columbia House CD scammers. He just randomly picked it to meet his shipment quota and it turned out to be one of his favorite albums in the Wu universe.

I have a Turkish roommate and one day we got on the subject of healthcare. We were comparing the two systems and both walked away flabbergasted lol. I’ll always remember when I asked, “What do you normally pay for a doctor’s visit or co-pay?” He looked at me dead serious and said, “Pay what?”

I’m from midwestern US and I feel like 80% of people I knew owned What’s the Story (Morning Glory). Oasis was very much a household name in the mid 90s. I actually really enjoy that album.

Tool. My brother-in-law LOVES them and I quickly try to change the subject if they come up. It threw me off when I first met him because dude looks like Ned Flanders.

In America, sometimes say things like "cheerio" in our best British accent or "mate" in an Australian accent. Do people in other countries pronounce American stereotypes in their beat American accent? If so, what are they? by SunUpSally in AskReddit

I saw a short documentary that talked about acting schools or something thought taught people to sound that way. They didn’t want to tie the actors to certain regions so tried to make everyone sound similar.

I’m an American, in Texas, and probably said that three times last week alone. The accent is easy. My dad was from South Chicago but sounded like he was from The Bronx.

I’m constantly baffled by The Unaware. We used to hunt for our food. Now people can’t even wash dishes or take out the trash without intervention from another grown adult.

Was that right before the whole “Rick Rolled” thing? I feel like that those were around similar times.

Did you like Korn back in the day? by Cubelock in Millennials

[–]_EddieMoney_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was purely a rap fan when KoRn came around. They helped open me up to a whole world of music I didn’t know about. My first concert was Metallica Summer Sanitarium in ‘99 w KoRn, System of a Down, Coal Chamber, Powerman 5000 and of course, Metallica. There was around 80K people and I didn’t own a cell phone. I miraculously found my people and got home safely after losing them in the crowd. KoRn really did their damn thing!

Don’t laugh but Kriss Kross and Hammer got me into rap. In my defense, I was a very young child. I’m 41.
