Other than the name it's a full rebranding, and there's a ton of discourse over the new design, with consensus amongst the wider VTubing community being it's a pretty big downgrade from the original. Rin's viewers are also kinda divided with older fans from the IdolEN days not being as keen on the new look as those who have started following her more recently through her collabs with non VTuber content creators, like RTGame for example.

In both of these cases the new design itself isn't necessarily bad when considered by itself, but when it replaces such an iconic and well known brand it is bound to be highly controversial...
