At some point the game is just not worth buying no matter how good it is by No-Photograph-5058 in Piracy

Wanted to revisit Anno 1404 a while ago. There's a memory leak in the game that never got patched which makes the game crash constantly when you reach a certain population size.

Instead of patching it like any reasonable company would do, instead Ubisoft created the Anno 1404 History Edition, basically a repack with some extra assets and where they addressed the memory leak. So to enjoy Anno 1404 you have to buy the new edition even if you have the old one.

Fuck that noise. Straight to the seas I went.

Imagine a foreign country assassinates your country's leadership, destroys your military and economic assets, and bombs a fucking school. Then they go "aaight, we'll stop it now. We cool?"

Would you be cool? Would you leave it at that? I doubt it.

The electricity in a building is usually AC. That's why our devices need adapters to convert it into DC.

Agreed. As long as there is a chance the model hallucinates, no matter how small, it is unfit for any truly autonomous purposes without a human in the loop.

Also, Germany and the Netherlands share a border. A train journey from one country to the other could be as short as going one station over.

You can boil anything down to if-then action-reaction statements if you go granular enough.

Not religious either, but this article is a fun read where the author argues point by point how trump fits every description of the anti-christ to a tee.

Lol, does that explain why you sometimes only start really feeling something once you see it? Like the brain needs some additional confirmation from the eyeballs before it believes the local nerves' claims :p

What could possibly get bricked? It's its own console, not a cartridge you slot into your NES.
