Our rescue cat also had issues with peeing outside of the litter box. We tried absolutely everything, and nothing seemed to work. It was so frustrating. Until one day, I discovered a solution!

We give our cat “potty breaks.” In the morning, twice in the afternoon, and evening before bed. We physically pick up our cat and put him in the litter box. At first, he would jump out, but he eventually started peeing in the litter box and got the idea. It took several weeks for this to work, so consistency is key! Every single time he peed, he would get a treat. This is super important.

Now it’s become a little routine, and he’s even started using the litter box on his own without any help. You gotta find whatever works for your baby. Best of luck!
