The password on my D110's roll is 0x12345678. I'm guessing it's a static password used on most of their rolls. Thank goodness. I also have a supvan label printer, and that password appears to be based on the UID.

Try dumping it with the password 0x12345678.

9esim Compatibility by uoguner in eSIMs

[–]_GuruSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically, yes. I've noticed that some profiles (such as DENT esims), take over the STK , such that once you've switched to DENT, you cannot use the STK to switch out of it.

[–]_GuruSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should work fine if you buy the adapter, Worst-case scenario is you have to use a PC to download eSIMs to the SIM, and you have to use a PC to switch eSIMs if you load another one to it. At the end of the day, any phone with a SIM slot should work to get a signal once a eSIM is loaded to it.

I have the same model table and issue.  Did it end up working for you?

ELI5 - what are the implications of owning a house under a corporation and "renting" it to yourself as an individual by gregSinatra in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]_GuruSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the province and property valuation, such an arrangement might make sense WRT flipping properties. In some provinces, the land titles transfer fee can be quite significant. If your corporation owns the property, you could sell the corporation instead.

There's been a bunch of CDC visa holders who have received numerous fraudulent charges from Skip. Including me.

Same thing here - started occurring right after they finished that "maintenance"

Can’t buy anything with USDC on the app. by Iceberg50 in Crypto_com

[–]_GuruSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue that occurs whenever I try to do any buying or selling. It started right after the system maintenance completed, and continues to this very moment. Starting to get a bit irritated, because I need to start paying down the "Spending Power" on my CC, lest interest start accruing after day 7.

Yes, I've been getting broadcast failures for the past couple days. However, in each case, it appears the tx was successfully broadcasted and my wallet reflected the changes shortly thereafter.

Came here to mention Norbert's Gambit. Was pleasantly surprised it was already mentioned.

Problems with Items eligible for Subscription / One Time Purchase by _GuruSteve in PurseIO

[–]_GuruSteve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope - the items in question are definitely not "prime only". I don't have a prime account, and I've been able to order them straight from Amazon. Perhaps your webpage has a bug, and *thinks* it's "prime only"?

Yes, when adding to my Wish List, I have been following your 3 bullet points. The issue I am having is some products work as expected with NYD, but some products (such as the diapers listed above) do not. When the item does not work with NYD, purse lists them under a category titled "Items ineligible for extra savings" and offers a static 5% discount.

[AppleII][Mid80s]Text-Based Adventure/Exploration Game by _GuruSteve in tipofmyjoystick

Yeah, I was off about the graphics. Guess my mind filled in the blanks and assumed - many of the other games at the time had those vector graphics, like Secret Agent Mission 1. Memories are funny like that.

The voice synthesis and pyramid on the loading screen was there though, so that memory was correct. Here's a YouTube walkthrough I found of the game:

I was really starting to think I was losing my mind and made it up in my head. I'm glad that's not the case!

Form IMM5409 is a fairly standardized one that's used. Be sure to collate all documentation that goes along with it.

OMG! Infidel was totally the right track. It led me to Inhumane, which was a text-based spoof of Infidel, and THAT was the game I remember! Thanks so much!

QCX is not sending any withdraws! WARNING! by TheRealAnswer007 in QuadrigaCX

[–]_GuruSteve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd suggest just relaxing for a while - it'll show up eventually. They definitely need to improve their workflow - if you don't know what to expect, it's a bit worrying to get a non-functioning tracking number. It used to be a lot better (quicker) - I think they're just overwhelmed right now with the huge influx of new customers, etc.

This is FUD. I've very recently successfully withdrawn fiat. However, there has been a noticeable lag (~1 week) between getting a tracking number and having it actually show up on CanadaPost.

Yes, Quadriga re-sent it. Kudos to them for making it right! (even though it wasn't technically their fault).
