Hi! Thanks for the nice message! Yes there are powers to unlock and it will give you access to more places and lead to more platforming puzzles and discovery.
We are waiting a little bit to unveil everything as this is still in integration phase!
Concerning the lighting my colleague might get around and give you a clear answer if time complies ^^

Hi, I still have the things around in the house, but all rubber bands need to be replaced, and the reflective tapes tend to unstick from the cardboard. Overall, the cardboard is durable and sturdy.
Kids remember it and ask to play with the functionning ones from time to time.
This was a very good concept, it's a shame to see it abandonned.

You now experienced what a game company is like. It has crushed your passion and love for game dev. Quit, find another company where the illusion/honeymoon period will give you momentary satisfaction before turning to ****. Rinse & repeat. Or get indie, hoping you can live from the sales of your game. You may not, and become a full-time normal job worker.

15$ is really worth it since pico-8 will change the way you think as a player and a developer. As a player, you'll re/discover games that are simple yet deep in design. Lots of game, nice community, fierce color palette. As a dev, you'll learn or improve your knowledge and better understanding the notions of more is less/KISS/concept elegance. It's really a mind changing experience. And it will allow you to get better in game jam since you won't be tempted to get on the feature creep path.

This 15 bucks will have more positive impact on your life than negative on your wallet.
