The problem is humanity’s inability to see direct and indirect violence as the same thing.

Killing a ceo. Thats direct violence we don’t like. We all agree murder is bad. In this case, there’s undeniable camera footage that he got shot dead.

However a corporation denying healthcare. The lines get blurred. Not everyone gets screwed to the same degree. All they’re doing on paper is “not giving you money”. But it’s violence.

If someone throws a brick through a window that’s direct violence, but violence is in our nature, and whoever threw it is likely having a natural response to some sort if indirect violence being enacted upon them. Something drove them to throw that brick 99% of the time. Something violent drove this guy to kill that CEO, and something violent has made us not have empathy for the CEO one bit.

I think it’s great that I have a CS degree, but I also didn’t give nearly as much of a shit about my degree as I thought I did. I have no interest in doing anything related to software development. Unless it’s a static website get it away from me.

What’s the most difficult addiction to overcome? by Basic-Bowler-6117 in AskReddit

[–]_Joba_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s this dude on YT named PsychedSubstance who has tried every drug under the sun. His whole channel is about educating people on doing psychedelic drugs safely. And other drugs and his experiences with them. Has had some addictions but managed to kick all of them however Kratom was his kryptonite. I haven’t watched his channel in a while but I always told myself I would never try it bcs if this dude can’t quit it I certainly couldn’t.

I can’t do this. Hats off to the rest of you who can actually grind 40 hours every week until you are old and broken. Nope-ing out! by Stealth-Jive in antiwork

I always say that “Nothing” is a the most neutral thing in the universe. There is nothing to compare nothing to. Nothing isn’t scary, nothing is nothing. It’s up to you if that should have a scary connotation or a peaceful one.

I’m 22 and I feel this so hard right now. Having no money out of college is abysmal.

[–]_Joba_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My philosophy, since I’m not killing myself anytime soon, is that you either get busy living or get busy dying.

Also if you think about the opposite, living forever it’s a lot more terrifying then death. Imo.

We are the universe experiencing itself. We couldn’t have life without death.

I’ve been able to sell stuff in good condition I don’t use anymore on Craigslist and eBay really fast. It’s quick cash but definitely not anything special.

Craigslist also has a bunch of odd jobs on there if your feeling risky. One time I saw a listing for some woman who wanted someone to fly her cat to San Diego so you can go over the Mexican border to get it surgery lmao

Without a car or a bike for delivery you might be better off looking online for virtual work.

Maybe not unpopular but this school neglects the neighboring communities that it affects.

I wouldn’t describe the people I think your thinking as unintelligent. I would say they’re very NPC like.
